Better life || the diary game || 11 th September 2021
Waking up on a Saturday morning is something I really hate at my sister's house 😭
I woke very early as usual and went straight to the kitchen to do the dishes I couldn't finish a day before.
As the usual routine in every Nigerian home, Saturdays are for cleaning up and tidying up.
I started sweeping and mopping the house with water, a little detergent, and hypo.
From the sitting room to the dining, to the rooms, corridors, kitchen.
I moved to the toilets, Which are 4 in number. I washed them inside out thoroughly till they turned sparkling white😁
The kids woke up while I was washing the toilets.
I bathed the two kids with the already boiled water and fed them cereal,
When. I was done with the clean-up, I moved to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
I prepared noodles with omelets first for some persons who couldn't hold the hunger.
Then I prepared spaghetti with fried fish and served everyone.
I took my bath then took my breakfast.
The kids eat at 3hours intervals, so I made another cereal for them.
The first son takes only golden morn with family food while the last son/child eats cerelac, Friso, and aptafood.
I'm not sure you will know this baby food though.
When I was done feeding the kids, I had to go wash their already piled up clothes. let's say my sister washes her kid's clothes every day
Later in the evening, I went to the market to get stuff for tomorrow because we are expecting visitors and there may not be much time to start preparing all of that.
When I came back from the market, I separated everything and kept them where they ought to be and left the ones I will be using for the stew.
I made ofe-akwu, turkey stew. Then I prepared steamed yam with locally made sauce with ehuru, okpei, fresh pepper, onions, and palm oil.
The taste was heavenly🥂
Then I took out my pen and paper so I can tell the @campusconnectng community about my day
And here I am.
I had a very stressful day, but I think my system is beginning to get used to it though.
