Fatema Khanam Jame Mosque, Bhola
Most of the people in our small Bangladesh are Muslims. However, due to the early existence of the Hindu kingdom, there are innumerable Hindu temples in different parts of the country. There are also several Buddhist monasteries. Later, however, when Muslim rulers and preachers migrated to this country, Muslim civilization began to spread slowly. Due to the arrival of the preachers of Islam in the country by sea, Muslim civilization began to develop in the areas surrounded by the sea. Similarly, one of the mosques in the history of Islam is Fatema Khanam Jame Mosque located in Bhola district.
As I said at the beginning, most of the people in this country are Muslims or followers of Islam. However, the spread of Islam began in the southern part of the country and the number of Muslims in the country continued to increase after the partition of 1947. At present, more than 80 percent of the total population of the country is Muslim. That is to say, later Muslim settlements were gradually created in this country.
However, now that most of the people in the country are Muslims, many beautiful mosques have been built in the country. However, no matter how beautiful and grand the mosques are, the importance of the historic mosques established by the Muslim scholars is still essential. Just like this Fatema Khanam Jame Mosque still attracts crowds to see people from far and wide.
