What about birds as pests?

The disadvantages of using chemical pesticides and herbicides should be considered - cost, availability, impact on soil health, impact on human health etc.

Remember that regulation and availability of different pesticides and herbicides will vary significantly in different parts of the world.

Very true, birds are pests and still causing damages to crop yields from farmland to storage spaces. I have seen severally where they cause havoc in palm plantations, where palm leaves are pecked, hence causing serious nutritional issues for these trees.

There are several regulations from international, regional, and national levels on some of these pesticides/herbicides, but this does not out-rightly clamp down on its use. However, POPs (pollutants family), HPPS (hazardous family), and neonicotinoids are on this watch-list. Hope we talk about this sometime here...

Birds are often considered harmful pests in agriculture sir. Birds damage farmers' crops by eating or destroying crops, fruits, and vegetables. Bird attacks are very common especially in paddy, wheat, maize, watermelon, mango, and various fruit orchards. Birds also sometimes attack grain warehouses, causing problems in crop storage.

Yes, I will add the uses and disadvantages of chemicals and herbicides sir. I will also add the issue of health risks here. I hope you enjoy writing about how the regulation and availability of pesticides and herbicides has changed significantly.

You are right birds attacks are mostly common as pests and they spoiled crops mostly by eating and grain losses are also common I hope we will learn more and explore our personal knowledge of agriculture.
