Bees play an essential role in agriculture as pollinating insects. This insect produces honey and wax. It also facilitates crop pollination, balancing food security and biodiversity. Their importance is immense in the eco system i.e. agriculture. The importance of bees is essential for the high productivity of the hive and maintaining the ecological balance.

But day by day people are exterminating this animal due to the addiction of collecting honey. But this contest, organized by Steem Agro, will really play an important role in protecting them.

What are the functions and roles of bees in agriculture?

Bees have an important function in the agricultural sector, the most obvious is through the process of pollination, which is needed for the reproduction of many plants. They move the pollen from the male part of the flowers to the female parts of the flowers, making it possible for the flowers to be pollinated and the seeds and fruits to be produced.
This approach immensely boosts the yields and even the standards of a good number of crops that may involve fruits, veggies, and nuts.
