Welcome to the second week of competition summary organized by Team-Agro. The topic of the second week's competition was the SEC S20W2: How to cultivate paddy". The duration of this competition was September 16th to 22th-2024. Today we will publish the list of winners of this competition.

The future generation is more engaged with technology so we wanted to introduce farming through Steemit. The role of agriculture in meeting the global food gap is immense. A large part of the world's population is involved in agriculture. They are constantly engaged in agriculture. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), about 27% of global employment is in the agricultural sector. This equates to about 2 billion people. However, this number may vary in different regions, as employment in agriculture is much higher in developing countries. Agriculture is said to be the key to the economy of middle-income countries like Bangladesh. We all need to know about this to take agriculture a step further towards technology. Steemit can be the medium to know this. Rice is the staple food of about 3.5 billion people in the world. Rice is the staple food for nearly half of the world's total population. Rice is used as an important part of daily diet especially in Asia, Africa and Latin American countries.We know that paddy cultivation is the mainstay of rural economy. Farmers earn a lot of income from paddy cultivation, which helps to improve their standard of living. So we posted about rice cultivation method.The topical knowledge of agriculture helps support our family as well.

At first I was surprised by the agricultural knowledge of many of these users, many of them are involved with agriculture and many are expressing their interest in agriculture. They are very sensitive to organic fertilizers in the soil to soil water and soil. We have selected the posts based on their evaluation, effort and interest.We have rejected all types of AI and plagiarism. I appreciate the knowledge about rice cultivation. I have a worry about the selection of winners. I see a winner with 9.2/10 meanwhile I had 9.3/10 but was not selected. Can you clarify more about the selection process?

I have experienced the same thing.
In the first week I took a spreadsheet course and got a 9.4, then I also took graphic design and got a 9.3. I handed in all the coursework with specific explanations and I was hoping to get more than what they gave me.
But at the time of the announcement, the participant with the lower score was also chosen as the winner, but I didn't make any protest even though I honestly felt disappointed inside.
On the other hand, I had experienced what it was like to be part of the teaching team in season 19, every week there were many good posts that we thought deserved to be winners, but we always took many other things into consideration when determining the winners. Therefore, I always respect whatever the judges decide, winning and losing is a normal thing in competition.
If our friend @pennsif finds out about this issue, will he open the Steem Debate again?

Then what is the purpose of the grading system if someone with a lower grade is selected as the winner over someone with a higher grade? 🤦♀️
I have raised these questions in few reputatable community regarding score and engagement but to be honest they told we considered many things and you know interesting thing was they all belong to the same country Venezuela. So I guess its depending on different factors which are taken into considering I wax expecting to be winner but when I saw the posts of few authors indeed all were amazingl good than me. Better luck to us next time.
I think @steemcurator01 and @steemcurator02 should be in a better position to clarify this.
