Tissue culture is a type of biotechnology in which small pieces of plant tissue or cells are grown in a special environment. This tissue then develops into a completely new plant with all the qualities of the mother plant. This process is also called micropropagation in biological language. Through this process it is possible to collect billions of trees with good qualities. A process they would be surprised to know. About 29 lakh tissue culture seedlings can be made from one rose plant.

To produce seedlings through tissue culture we have to go through a complex process. For those processes we need many materials, those materials are very important.Sterile environment: A highly sterile or sterile environment is essential for the successful conduct of tissue culture. This is done in a sterile laboratory or clean room. Where there is sufficient light, the necessary chemicals and pesticides are available. A tissue culture specialist is needed.

Mother plant: Tissue is collected from healthy and disease free mother plant. The source of this tissue can be leaves, stems, roots or flower parts. The best quality seedlings are obtained from the best trees. So by selecting a healthy tree we can easily get crores of seedlings from there. It is important to choose germ-free trees while selecting trees.
Nutrient Media: Cultivation of plantlets is done in specific nutrient media for tissue culture. This is commonly known as Murashig and Skoog (MS) media, which contains water, minerals, vitamins and glucose. Through which the seedling production process is started. So it is considered as an important part. Hopefully, if the Skoog process is correct, the seedling production process can be handled well.
Hormones (Growth Regulators): Growth hormones called auxin and cytokinin play an important role in tissue growth. They are required for tissue differentiation and rapid growth. Auxin-like hormones are present in the growth of plants. If we want, we can also collect this hormone from plants or we can buy good quality hormones from the market and use them. They are professionals in this work and they can select hormones, but in our area, auxin hormones are used more.Sterilizer: A sterilizer (autoclave or other sterilization device) is used to sterilize tissues and instruments. It is a permanent material so you have to collect as per your need. The amount should be determined based on the size of your plant i.e. how many seedlings you want to produce at a time.
Laminar Air Flow Chamber: It removes airborne pathogens to create a sterile environment, which is required for tissue culture. It works like Room Fresh. You can make it with the help of lemon if you want, but it is not necessary unless it is a very high quality scientific technology. I did not see any such process in the tissue culture farm I visited because it was a very small tissue culture farm.
But we have to follow this rule and control the appropriate light and temperature. Specific temperature (about 25-28 degrees Celsius) and light (16 hours of light and 8 hours of darkness) need to be provided, so that the tissue grows properly. Steel plates can be used first for tissue seeding and later plastic trays are available at affordable prices. Only those who want to do big projects with tissue culture will do it otherwise buy and use.
