Briefly explain 3 causes of early crop growth damage.
There are many causes of early crop damage we experience in our farm which includes the following.....
- Lack of nutrients; many crops in our farms dies or grow in poor condition because they are lacking nutrients. Stunted plant growth is one common symptom of nutrient deficiency, however nutrient deficiencies are often caused by other symptoms such as leaf yellowing or browning which is the main symptoms of plants lacking nutrients.
- Poor environment condition; poor environmental conditions also contributes to early crops damage in such a way that it can damage and kills crops when there is lack or low maintenance which will weakens a plant and makes it more susceptible to disease or insect attack.
- Insects and pest; insects and pest in another main reason we experience early crop growth damage in our gardens and farms, this insects and pests are mostly caused by too much weed in the farm which will automatically invite the presence of this pests to destroy and kill our crops.
Mention 5 importance of nursery pots in plant early growth?
Nursery pots plays a vital role in plants early growth such as....
- Nursery pots helps protects our plants from erosion and wild
- nursery pots promotes and provides the plant with healthy and strong root development.
- Nursery pots make it much easier to supply the right conditions for the plants you want to grow.
- Nursery pots offer a protected space for seedlings to germinate and grow into robust plants.
- pot nursery helps protects environment shields them from harsh weather conditions and insects pests.
Briefly mention 3 differences between monocotyledon and dicotyledon plants
Monocotyledons, or monocots, are a class of angiosperms that contains only one seed leaf in the embryo, while a dicotyledon or dicots have two seed leaves that emerge from the embryo. Around one-fourth of the plant species belong to monocotyledons and are a source of food like rice, corn, and barley.source
The difference between monocotyledons and dicotyledons plants includes....
Monocotyledon plant | Dicotyledon plant |
---|
Monocotyledon plants leaves usually reduced intercellular gaps due to the tight arrangement of their cells. | Dicotyledon plant leaves are both smaller and wider. |
---|
Monocotyledon plant leaves are long, narrow, and have parallel venation, | unlike Dicotyledon plants which leaves are broader and have reticulate venation. |
---|
The veins are scattered and do not form a network. | The veins branch out from a central midrib, forming a network of veins throughout the leaf. |
---|
Name 5 examples of monocotyledon and dicotyledon plant.
Monocotyledon plants | Dicotyledon plants |
---|
wheat, maize, ginger, banana, onion, garlic | potato, tomato, pea, groundnut, eucalyptus, |
