Beginner’s Guide to Gardening

Write a simple guide for beginners on how to start a garden.

It is a nice experience to have a garden as it will provide you with many fresh produce. As a beginner, starting as garden is not a problem, it is a good thing to do because you will learn something each passing day and so, below are my guide;

• Firstly, make a little survey around to know how the soil and climate of your locality is in order to know the type of plant that will be suitable for planting.

• After knowing plant that grows well in your locality, look for a piece of land in which you will plant.

• Clear the land and make sure the ground is level, making it have a smooth surface or you make riges(bed) then pack the grass in to one place because it will help as manure or probably you can burn it when it dries off.

• Plant your desire crops and make sure there's a space between them for a good penetration of air, sunlight etc.

• Be sure to start watering the plants very well. If is in the summer season, water it morning and evening to keep the soil moisture at all time.

• If you don't have a land, look for a cement bag or vase, look for soil and level inside the bag.

• Add a little manure like chicken faeces, pig or fish water. Make a hole and plant your seed and then begin to water it and observe how the crop grows.

• Try your best to maintain the crops whether you plant them using a bag or land. Avoid weed growing along with the crops, add fertilizer were necessary and monitor crops pest and diseases in order to arrest on time.

Note: As a beginner, there's always a challenge face in any journey, embarking on a garden journey will require patience and so, it is advicable you start the garden in a small way, don't be discourage in any challenges, keep putting your effort and see how you're progressing, learn from the mistakes you face before extending to a bigger level. This will help you to Improve your garden and knowledge about crops growing.
