Anything!

To get things up and running, I'll ask the first question.

What made you come to the Steem blockchain?

For me, @holoz0r, I came to the Steem blockchain when I barely understood what it was. My friend @mattclarke told me it was a place that I could blog, share content, and get some cryptocurrency in exchange.

I thought it was a good idea, because I have a creative background, and like sharing things with others. I never thought three years later that I'd still be here, and that the place would've grown in the way it has today, allowing many to forge real, meaningful relationships, and to entertain, occupy, and reward thousands of people around the world.

So, Steem, what made you come to the Steem?

Sort:

I came to post a collaborative joint story with my niece.

I stayed because of a comment @mattclarke left me...made me realise something profound about my life.

....I continue to stay because of the cool people I meet at the regular Adelaide meetups.

No shifting me now

I came to Steem via DTube because I was looking for an alternative to YouTube. See, Google decided that there were going to demonetise my family-friendly channel. They still owe me $35 in adsense revenue.

I started getting hefty upvotes on DTube, so I decided to stay. Then either @mattclarke or yourself invited me to the Adelaide meet ups and I have been going ever since.

Ad sense adpocalypse destroyed small creators and concentrated power. Good thing Steem is here to decentralise that power. :)

Galenkp had some questions regarding tax.

Yeah it’s better for people to actually find my content and for me to find an audience.
I need to do more video stuff when I get the chance.

Most people see Steem as just another social media platform, but in many ways I see it as like a business. When I post, it becomes a link that I can share. I have a branding and a small following, etc. The SEO is better on Google than most sites.

I came to backup my writings.

I love the notion of using Steem as a backup method. :)

What sort of writing do you do?

I mostly blog about my day. But sometimes, I simply comment about history, health, religion, politics, culture, education, travel, etc. I just write random things like I am doing right now. That's about it.

Some anarchist/voluntaryist group on Facebook. I'd been a bitcoin nut/maximalist for a few years, but got curious when I heard about it in this group for the 3rd time.
No idea now who it was; but the more I learned, the more I liked what I heard.

And here we still are.

Came for steem monsters game and now very gently and softly dipping my toes into the blogging world.

Don't dip those toes too softly, there's no pit of spikes here!
