Hello my people STEEMIT
Last Tuesday, September 15 of last year, the musician, guitarist, composer and record producer Luís Arismendi passed away in the city of Caracas. The master Luís, like his brother Santiago Arismendi (also deceased) sang to love, but, above all, to his beloved land Cumaná. Today I want to pay a simple tribute to this illustrious Cumanian, in this Dance and Music Community, with one of his most beautiful compositions: "Mi tierra". This song was recorded, in the rhythm of a Venezuelan bolero, by the Venezuelan musical group the "Venezuelan Rondalla". Some time later, this same song was covered by the same "Venezuelan Rondalla" in the rhythm of a waltz passage, but with the maestro Simón Díaz as a special guest.
El pasado martes 15 de septiembre del año pasado, falleció, en la ciudad de Caracas, el músico, guitarrista, compositor y productor discográfico Luís Arismendi. El maestro Luís, al igual que su hermano Santiago Arismendi (también fallecido) le cantó al amor, pero, sobre todo, a su querida tierra Cumaná. Hoy quiero rendirle un sencillo homenajea este ilustre cumanés, en esta Comunidad Dance and Music, con una de sus más bellas composiciones:"Mi tierra". Esta canción fue grabada, en ritmo de bolero venezolano, por la agrupación musical venezolana la "Rondalla venezolana". Tiempo después, esta misma canción fue versionada por la misma "Rondalla venezolana" en ritmo de vals pasaje, pero teniendo como invitado especial al maestro Simón Díaz.

hermosas sus playas que arrullan
la reina del suelo oriental.
Sus noches, que lindo se ven los luceros
al ritmo de un serenatero
que inspira en la noche a cantar.
Allá puso Dios la alegría
y la mujer más bella,
y dijo un poeta al cantar:
Cumaná quién te viera.
Mi tierra; allá donde nace la luna,
tus calles me traen los recuerdos
de mi Cumaná tropical.
My land
My land; there where the moon is born,
beautiful its beaches that lull
the queen of the eastern soil.
Their nights, how beautiful the stars look
to the rhythm of a serenade
that inspires at night to sing.
God put joy there
and the most beautiful woman,
and a poet said when singing:
Cumaná who saw you.
My land; there where the moon is born,
your streets bring me the memories
of my tropical Cumaná
