Hola de nuevo mis amigos amantes de la danza y la música, es para mi un placer estar por aquí de nuevo con un nuevo video, rindiendole homenaje a esta gran banda clasica del rock... Deep Purple con su gran tema sacado luego de una terrible tragedía en un concierto de "The mothers".
The Mothers era una banda loca, experimental e innovadora y su público se sumaba a la psicodelia de una manera activa. Tanto que un fan se animó a desenfundar una pistola que disparaba bengalas y, según cuentan testimonios de la época, apuntó directamente al escenario. Zappa y los músicos se salvaron, pero el casino quedó en llamas.
No hubo heridos, pero sí una gran pérdida material: se derritieron equipos, escenografía y mobiliario del lugar. "Quemaron la casa de juego, que terminó con un ruido horrible", cantan los Deep Purple en la descriptiva "Smoke on the Water".
Sin duda una de las peores tragedias en la historia del rock y de la misma manera se transformo en una de las canciones mas iconicas del genero.
