Hello friends in Steem4Professionals community, I am delighted to share my profession in this contest organized by @sahar78 with the title "A Profession Campaign. In this contest I will be sharing my profession as a Teacher. Sit tight, learn and enjoy yourself as you read my entry.

Do you like to run a campaign about your profession in society for making it more familiar and valuable in society?

No! I have never run a campaign about my profession in the society to make it more familiar and valuable in the society. I would love to run campaign about this profession but I am limited by resources. Since Steem 4 Professionals has a platform where I can tell people about my profession, I am glad to run the campaign here.

What benefits you can get after running a campaign about your respective profession?

That is the point what benefits can I get after running a campaign about my profession in the society? This is the question that will give me the morale to gather resources to put up such campaign in the society. If only there are some personal benefits then I would not mind. Since there are no personal benefits besides recruiting more people and encouraging the younger generation to consider this noble profession, I will only use a platform like steemit to create such awareness. Yes! Because I know my effort and data used which are my personal resources will not be a waste.

What would be the points you would keep in front of people to make your profession more highlighted and worthiest among people?(Tell any three points)

Now is the time to talk about this noble and wonderful profession Teaching. What is teaching? Teaching is an act of showing, guiding, directing, coaching, mentoring and nurturing a child or someone through formal education. There are different levels of teaching starting from Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Primary, Secondary up to higher institution of learning.

Who is a Teacher? A teacher is a trained person that teach, tutor, guide, direct, coach, mentor or nurture a child through formal education. I will say that Teaching is the noblest of all professions. Yes! This is true because without a teacher there will never be any profession, before you become a professional in any profession you must be taught. To support my argument here are my three points.

• Teaching gives you time to run multiple streams of income:

In todays world only one source of income is not enough to sustain a family. Imagine in Nigeria my country, a cup of rice is now sold at #400 which is approximately 1 steem, garri is now 3 cups for #500 which is 1.20steem. In fact there is famine in Nigeria. How do one survive with only one source of income that has not even increase as prices of commodity increases. Since teachers go to school in the morning and by 2:30pm to 3:00pm they are back from school, many teachers are owners of successful business while some are into farming. Like myself, as a computer teacher, I have time to source for additional source of income by becoming active in steem. I doubt I could have had time to be this active in steem if I was in another profession.

• Teaching gives you more time to attend to your family:

After getting my teaching job, I had another offer for the position of a cashier with a monthly salary of #75,000 that is 181.16 steem while I receive #36,000 that is 86.95steem as a teacher. I declined that offer because I was supposed to resume from 7:00am and close by 6:00pm every day including Saturdays. As a teacher I resume work latest 7:20am and close by 3:00pm from Monday to Fridays. As at the time of my writing I have been at home since on 21st February, 2024 on a midterm break to resume on Monday, 26 February, 2024. Besides this short break, every time the school is closed I will not go to work for a period of 2 - 3 weeks and sometimes 1 - 2 months. These free periods gives me ample time to be with my child, attend to family needs, take care of myself, rest, do business and even be more active on steemit.

• Teaching boosts your mental stability:

Teaching boosts one's confidence. As a teacher, you are always on a constant learning. The joy of imparting knowledge, good morals and discipline in young ones boosts your mental stability. It gives every teacher a sense of fulfilment to see their pupils or students become outstanding and successful in life.
