Fraud and Exams in Nigeria

Nigerian education is becoming more and more distorted by the ministry of education, which is changing it daily.

These days, kids don't even take their education seriously; instead, they place all of their hope in cheating on exams, especially when it comes to reading their books.

Exam malpractice is viewed as advantageous; students pay for it in order to avoid reading their books at all and to give the principal, who oversees the school, and the professors the entire workload to read.

When I took my mock exam, which was required of all SS2 students, the principal of my school misled us students into believing that it was crucial for all SS2 students to pass and that the government had asked them to collect 20,000 Naira in exchange for their assistance in the exam room. Some students began to pay, but some, like me, chose not to, I didn't pay because I thought of the test as a practice test. Every year, mock exams with the same questions are given, so I collected prior tests and started practicing with my friends. However, around three weeks before the exam, one of my friends betrayed me and took the money in order for teachers to assist each student with the mock exam answers.

so many students in Nigerian schools never make time for their study, the prevalence of examination fraud has seriously distorted the mindset of all Nigerian educators.

Exam misconduct by this student is the reason for some graduates' inability to defend their grades and others' incapacity to impart what they have learned in school.

This is especially common in Cross River State, Nigeria, where examination malpractice permeates every aspect of education. JSS3 students, for example, have been known to pay teachers to pass exams. In other cases, teachers in Cross River State have even been known to demand sex from female students in order to get them to pass.

Some teachers have even gone so far as to demand multiple things in exchange for helping their students. Avoid Student Killers at all costs which is Examination malpractice.
