The secretary general of the Filipino Nurses United told Reuters that his organization is disgusted by this move by the government of the Philippines to export nurses and healthcare workers in exchange for the Covid-19 vaccines. He says that such a move equates nurses and healthcare workers to commodities or export product.

All these years the Philippines has been exporting nurses and healthcare workers to countries all over the world and has been earning $billions in foreign exchange. We fail to see the difference between this previous exports of nurses and healthcare workers and the proposed exports of nurses and healthcare workers to Britain and Germany in exchange for the vaccines.
