What do you understand by organic agriculture? Explain your own opinion.

Organic agriculture is method of agriculture where by a farmer cultivates crops without the use of fertilizers, herbicides antibiotics, chemicals, and pesticides in growing his crop.
This method of farming is mostly practiced and used in farming before technology took place that most farmers see's it as waste of time and energy now to carry on with it in this present modern age because there is availability of different chemicals and fertilizer that can help crops grow faster and as well as preventing them from pest and diseases.

Why is organic agriculture beneficial for the environment and human health?

Organic food consumption may reduce the risk of allergic disease and of overweight as well as obesity this is because it has low or no chemical applied on it unlike organic crops that is mostly cultivated with chemicals.
Organic agriculture is beneficial to our health because it is always more tasty and healthy more than inorganic food making it more preferable for people more than inorganic food and chemical food, also organic food has higher nutritional value and it is always free from harmful chemicals like pesticides and others apart from this it's organic food has been found to have higher levels of vitamins and minerals more than inorganic food which is is often fresher because it doesn't contain any preservatives that make it last longer and at the same time it reduces the use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides.

Why are farmers not interested in organic agriculture? What can be done to get them interested?

Nowadays that technology has taken almost everything that farmer don't longer depends on organic method but artificial and chemical which help them to control pest and produce crops in large quantity, chemical crops can also be healthier to our body but not like organic crops.

One of the major problem why farmers are not interested in organic agriculture is because of long time it takes to run it and also it cannot ensure that products are completely free of residues, due to general environmental pollution, low production and unorganized market for organically grown produce.
So for farmers to be interested in organic agriculture the government or non-governmental agency should make arrangements for organized market for originally grown produce and they should as well ensure that products are completely free of residues and other chemicals.
In addition they should be encouraged and get in contact with farmers who has already practice organic farming to gain experience from them.
