GOD’S RESOLVE OR YOURS

“O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.”
Jeremiah 10:23 (NKJV)

• Where there is no clear direction, there cannot be progress.

• You must have direction for your life.
• Let God show you what to do as per His plans for your life (Proverbs 16:9).
  “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
  Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)

• Some have resolved to do a number of things, but they have not sought the face of God on it.
“There are many plans in a man’s heart, nevertheless the LORD’S counsel–that will stand.”
Proverbs 19:21 (NKJV)

• If what you want to get done is not God’s plan, you may struggle to get it accomplished.
  “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”
  Proverbs 16:9 (NKJV)
• If you are struggling to get a thing accomplished, possibly you are in a wrong assignment.
  “The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.”
  Proverbs 10:22 (NKJV)

• Progress is moving towards your destination.

• You can only claim you are making progress when you know your destination—and you are moving towards it.
• Your destination is where God wants you to be and what He wants you to do.

• The direction in question is not about your personal plans, that is, resolutions. It is not about your resolve, but God’s resolve (Proverbs 27:1).

1. “Come now, you who say,
   “Today or tomorrow, we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”.
2. Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
3. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.”
   James 4:13,14,15 (NKJV)

• Therefore, endeavor to seek God’s face to know what He has in plan for you.
• Even if you have drawn your own plan; still, take it to God for an approval, to know if the plan you have drawn agrees with His.
  “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”
  Proverbs 16:25 (NKJV)

“A man’s steps are of the LORD; How then can a man understand his own way?”
Proverbs 20:24 (NKJV)

• There shall be fulfilment of God’s promises in your life in Jesus name.
