Transformed
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
I took these photos behind my sister’s house in Virginia as the butterflies were all over the azalea bush.
Have you seen what a butterfly looks like at the beginning?
It is an ugly worm.
I got this photo from stock images dyk.maryiand.gov
The point is the word “transformed” in our text above is the same word for metamorphosis. Our rebirth in Christ is where God transforms us over time to be changed into what He intended. We, like these caterpillars are transformed and our final outcome is nothing like the original.
He Transforms Us
Transformed according to Strongs Concordance
G3339 (Strong)
μεταμορφόω
metamorphoō
met-am-or-fo'-o
From G3326 and G3445; to transform (literally or figuratively “metamorphose”): - change, transfigure, transform.
We have to read our bible and meditate on the Word so this transformation can take place. And the latter part of the verse shows the result of bing a student of God’s Word.
We test and approve of the perfect and well pleasing will of God.
We find our purpose in Christ!
