RE: Minority Report: Justin Sun, TRON, and our STEEM Blockchain
I must get going for an evening appointment my friend. But, I will be back, sometime tomorrow morning for certain, if not sooner. And I will provide you some ideas.
In the meantime, can you tell me what you use for a word processor @owasco?
Microsoft word. Is that what you mean? But most posts I type directly into steempeak publishing tool
Good morning (here) @owasco. Perfect, yes, both Microsoft Word is what I meant and great to hear you are using SteemPeak! 😊 👍
Here is a brief outline of one option for backing up your work, should you choose to do so:
Clicking on this ...
results in this ...
The idea here is you capture all of your hard work on your computer's clipboard, then store it wherever works best for you. You then have a back-up of it, in the event you ever need to recreate it somewhere else (by pasting all of this now saved HTML code in whatever editor is supplied there ...
I hope this helps my friend. If you have any questions, please let know! I'll be happy to do what I can.
P.S. Forgot to ask whether or not you are using a personal computer! If you use some other device, you will need to figure out its key sequences for pasting what is stored on the clipboard ...
Thank you! I know how to do that, but boy that sounds like a lot of work. I'll def start backing up everything I do from now on, and get some of my best stuff done too.
Yes @owasco ...
... backing up data in any organization is commonly viewed as a thankless pain in the ... BUT ... When the fateful day comes and all your hard digital work goes to "byte heaven," it suddenly becomes much higher in priority. Except ... Then it is too late.
Since buying my first PC in 1981, I have suffered this fate far too many times ...
That said, I just view this task like any other job. The "work isn't done until everything is put away" ... And part of that, once I click Post, is to then go get the data and back it up ...
Please don't take this as anything other than something to think about though. I wouldn't want you to feel some sense of obligation or anything else. Just whatever you think is best for you.
That makes perfect sense and I will def start backing up my steem stuff as I produce it. thx again.
