My Steem Story! By @ambiguity
As most of you know, we all have a story. That story is about our lives. It can be a sad story or a happy story and that is your story too tell. Here what we want to know is the story of your life on Steem. The story of what led you to create your account and what is your passion that you post about.
Hopefully, my story will inspire others to work and grow their channel and not give in to the idea of growing their channel and building up their SP cannot be done. This journey on Steem is not a race but a marathon, it is meeting new people, helping build communities, and having fun. So join me and many others grow, build, and have a few laughs! Together We Create!
My Steem Story By @ambiguity!
This journey started back in 2018 and I was going to be blogging about vaping and showing the different types of e-cigarettes and how to make your own e-liquid at home, all that type of stuff and it did not really do so well at the time. I was getting discouraged and I knew I had to find something different to blog about.
I started blogging about different things I was doing on the property that we had bought and the things we were doing here. How we got started making the raw land we had bought into a home for us. I got interested in photography and decided that the best thing to do was just post some photos I had taken and tell a little story about why I took that photo. As time went along I realized that inspiration happens all around us and just blog about life and enjoy what I was doing.
At first, I was wondering if I could ever really build my channel and have something to show for the work of blogging. I did not have the fiat to be able to buy any Steem and I was starting from nothing and would have to work hard at posting to build my channel. It was rough for quite a while, to be honest, it still is rough trying to build my SP. You see all these channels that are huge and you think I will never get there. Then as you go along and make friends and connections with people and communities things start to happen. it takes some time and patience. I was looking around and all these channels were plagiarizing content from the internet and getting downvoted and I realized I was doing ok. I was posting original content and was starting to see some of my work being seen. I knew if I just kept posting and making friends life was good and it would all work in the end.
I had no knowledge whatsoever of blockchains and how they all worked. I started researching blockchain technology on the internet and I would just read posts from the channels on the blockchain that had that knowledge. I started following witnesses and read their posts and any other post on how to format and watched how the bigger channels did there posts. I started playing with HTML and just worked to teach myself how to do all of this stuff.
It was a big challenge in the beginning but things like Steempeak came along and made it much easier and I continued to play with it and figured some stuff out. I still learn something new every day and it is a challenge and an "Oh that is how I do that!" all the time. I will DM people I know from Discord and ask them how do I do this or that. So it is a learning experience every day!
My favorite front end to use is Steempeak because it is the easiest to use and it makes my life of blogging much easier in the long run.
I generally like to take photos and post them, sometimes I will do posts on things like the best CBD gummies I have found and it is and will be something I use not just, "Hey try this!" If I post about something I will use it and if I like it or dislike it, I will tell you an honest opinion about it. Just keep in mind everyone has differences of opinions. Different things work differently on each person.
The communities here on Steem are great, as there is something for everyone and you will make friends and always have a laugh or two.
Keep pushing forward in your journey on Steem. Never give up! I can tell you from experience that it is hard and it will take time. I started from basically zero and I have worked and built up my account to over 500 SP, That is about 2 years of work, it is not a lot of Steem Power but it has been a learning and a fun journey. Again, it is a marathon and not a race.
Always, I can emphasize this enough to create original content and if you use something from the internet, it can be from Pixabay.com, Giphy.com, or even Pinterest, always, I repeat always source whatever it is. If you do not do this, it will come back to bite you in the butt!
Making friends and getting into communities will always be a great help to you. If you post good original content it will be seen, just keep at it! Always Forward!
It is really hard to narrow down communities here on Steem. There are so many and they are many great people in all of them. You will find that many people are in the same communities.
Being a veteran I am in the veteran's community here on Steem, It is Military Veterans Of Steemit. You must be a veteran or a supporter of veterans on Steem to get into this community though. The other community I am in is Photostreem and I am a curator in this community. I really like the community The Alliance. There are some others like Canna Curate and Qurator. This is just a few of the communities I am in and as I said, there are many communities and you will have to find one with like-minded people that you want to be a part of. If you look around Steem I am sure you can find many communities to become a part of.
I want to call out 5 off my friends and get them to tell their Steem story. Because I think we can and will learn from each other stories of how the got started on Steem!

Thanks for reading!
So wonderful to see your contribution among these Steem stories @ambiguity! I definitely think you made the right decision in terms of content choice. The thing is... we have to have fun with what we are doing here otherwise there will be no enthusiasm whatsoever!
Thank you so much for taking the time to be a part of this initiative!

Thank You!
My hope is that these stories help new users that are discouraged to continue to post and also give them some guidance to what they should do and expect here on Steem. It is not perfect but I believe it will get better and hopefully continue to grow.
My pleasure :)
Yes absolutely! That was precisely my mindset when conceptualising this initiative! Nothing in life is perfect... but all a work in progress :)
