Everyone is built differently. God-given talent is what defines us and refining it is what gives us identity. My talent which I explored over time and crafted carefully is "poetry".

How i discover my Passion for fondness for poems?

I won't call myself a refined poet because poetry is an abyss, a never-ending transformation. It changes us over time, or we change with it over time too. Poetry at each stage of life is a reflection of our own emotions, miseries, happiness and sorrows. We transform into a different being after a few years and so does our expression.

The addition of years in age adds a pinch of maturity to our writing too.

I discovered my talent when I was 12, my Urdu teacher was a very intellectual man, he had a taste for poetry. He would share his favourite poems with us now and then. The sound of those rhymes was beautiful but I couldn't understand the context mostly because of my age.

How i initiated Reading And Writing poems?

I started reading it myself and it all started making sense to me. The delicacy of expression, the beauty with which the words were arranged, the emotions overflowing. Not long after, I wrote my first poem, I was inspired by Wordsworth and Faiz Ahmed Faiz. I copied the expression initially and got my poetry evaluated by my teacher. He encouraged me to write more, and with his encouragement, I kept on writing and improving over time. In college, we read Ghalib, Hali and multiple other poets from the past. It groomed me and my understanding of Urdu literature. Over time reading has helped me massively to sharpen my poetic skills.

Genere of my poems

Recently I have started a page on social media. where I share my poetry with the world. I write in Urdu and English. My inspirations are Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi. I love Shakespeare as well. My poetry revolves around nature in general, human nature, society, emotions, misery and love.

Conclusion

I aspire to publish my book in a couple of years. My goal is to inspire the youth to read more because our history holds a precious treasure of literature unknown to the youth these days. I also plan on arranging workshops and mushairas to bring poets of this age together.
