Hello, wonderful people of this community, this could be my first time publishing a post here or otherwise, I greet the entire users in this community, and I find this contest interesting as such I deem it fit to participate, even though I know it is close to the deadline.

I have been in search of something like steemit, but I actually dont know how to go about it, I just want a place where I will be able to work online and get paid without much stress, I needed a second job where I can make a good income. In search of such a website or app, I fell into several wrong platforms.

As I was in search of such a job online, so is my younger brother too, but he was more of a social freak than me, on a faithful day, he called me and told me about steemit, mind you all of the platforms that I have tried to work at which I was a later scamed was introduced to me by him.

As such anything that comes from him which requires money for a platform, I don't take it seriously anymore but his introduction to steemit was different since it required no money to begin, this made me give it a thought and I promised him that I will sign up, but before that, I made my research and I saw a lot of information about steemit, this interests me a lot but then I simply don't know how to go about it.

It has been a month since I got introduced to the platform but since I couldn't handle the interface myself I waited to physically connect with my younger brother because I don't say at home anymore.

This very day sometime around June 2020, we connected and he mentored me on all of the basic things and rules of the platform,

I was able to make my introduction post that day but still, I do not have comprehensive knowledge about the platform, I try to blog more with less knowledge of the platform, and then one day my account was compromised without knowing the cause.

After days of exploring the platform, I came across a community that comprises many Nigerian steemians, I chatted with the admin and I was added to the community WhatsApp group where I was properly mentored, my new account was created in 2021, and till now it has been a wonderful journey here on steemit.

I greatly appreciate my younger brother who goes by the username @vhenom, although he left for his reason, however, I am so much grateful to him for introducing me to this platform.

I would like to read @ruthjoe @lhorgic and @rad-austine stories of who introduced them to this platform.
