#"Kashmir" is a piece of paradise on earth
I never dreamed I would suddenly travel to Kashmir. I had the good fortune to visit Kashmir. Before describing the beauty of Kashmir, it is better to know its political and geographical location.
If we imagine the whole of Kashmir before the partition of 1947, its area was 2.22 lakh sq km. Later, in different contexts, it became divided between India, Pakistan and China. At present 55% of Adi Kashmir is ruled by India, 30% by Pakistan and 15% by China
Present-day Indian-administered Kashmir covers an area of 1.01 lakh sq km, of which about 42,000 sq km is divided into two Union Territories called Jammu and Kashmir and 59,000 sq km called Ladakh.
On the other hand, Pakistan-administered Kashmir had an area of 75,000 sq km of which about 5,000 sq km was later handed over to China and Chinese-occupied Kashmir was called Aksai Chin with an area of about 35,000 sq km.
Although the whole of Kashmir is a land of beauty, Indian-ruled Jammu and Kashmir is well-known for its tourism. Parts of Pakistan and China are not suitable for tourism due to their anti-tourism policies and security reasons.
Interestingly, the two capitals of Jammu and Kashmir. Its summer capital is Srinagar and its capital is Jammu in winter when the city is covered with snow.
When the SpiceJet enters Kashmir from Delhi via Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh in the north, it is amazing to see huge snow-capped mountains. As well as the expanse of greenery, mountain springs and rivers, Kashmir will be introduced to you as a paradise on earth.
** How to start seeing Kashmir: -
#01) Srinagar: -
Srinagar is the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. It would not be an exaggeration to call the city of Jhilam River, Dal-Nishat Lake and numerous gardens a paradise surrounded by mountains. In summer, the temperature here ranges from 11-12 degrees to 21-22 degrees Celsius. In winter, the temperature here drops to minus and the capital also moves to Jammu. With an area of 294 sq km, Srinagar is the largest city in Jammu and Kashmir. Get off at Srinagar Airport and take a reserve jeep straight from the bus stand outside to the Dal Gate area of Srinagar city. There are a lot of hotels along the road along the lake, there are fifteen ghats in Dal Lake next to each other from where one can travel by hunting or Kashmiri boat. You can stay overnight at the boat house on the lake. The area of Dal Lake is 35 sq km.

On the second day, the three of us took an autorickshaw for almost the whole day for 1500 rupees and went out to see the sights of the city.
Srinagar Jame Mosque-
The main mosque of Kashmir was built by Sultan Sikandar in 1394-1402. The architectural style of the huge mosque, built of a mixture of wood, iron, stone and concrete, will amaze you. 33,000 people can pray together in this mosque.

Hazrat Baal Mosqueঃ
A beautiful white stone architectural style mosque on the shores of Dal Lake. Many Muslims think that the beard of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) Mubarak is preserved here.

In addition, there are a few gardens of that time decorated with Mughal installations and ornaments, the beauty of which no one can not be fascinated.

🛕Shankar Acharya Templeঃ
The temple, situated on a high mountain, is a favorite pilgrimage site of the Hindus. There is a possibility of being covered in clouds after getting up here which will give you a different level of feeling.
You can also visit Lalchak and MA Link Road, the main commercial areas of the city, to buy handicrafts from Kashmir. There is also the Srinagar Museum and many more.

  1. Gulmarg
Famous for snow-capped mountain trekking, gondola (cable car / ropeway), Maharaja Hari Singh Palace and stunning natural beauty. Gulmarg is 49 km from Srinagar. The road along the hill is also quite scenic. Before going here, you must buy a ropeway ticket online or you will get into trouble. You can go here in the morning, ride the ropeway and return to Srinagar in the afternoon. Due to the very cold weather, hotel rent and food prices are high, it is better to finish here in one day.

  1. Sonmargah
Sonmarg is located 62 km from Srinagar. It is also famous for its aesthetic natural beauty and mountain trekking on horseback.
  1. Pehelgam:
Pahalgam is located in Liddar Valley, about 60 km from Srinagar. Of all the places I have visited in Kashmir, Pahelgam is the one I like best. This hill town with a population of about six thousand is very tidy and tidy. You will be mesmerized by the murmur of the river Liddar flowing by. The creator has decorated this Pahelgam with his own hands. Leaving my luggage at the hotel, I freshened up and rode on horseback from the nearest stables. After about five hours of mountaineering, we saw mountain springs rushing through rows of pine groves, pure green meadows on top of mountains where sheep graze and poor shepherds play, while they themselves do not know the poorest and most beautiful environment in the world. They have.

The next day I reserved a jeep and went out to see the site. In fact, wherever you look in Pahelgam, there is fascination and beauty. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person. Example:
    Aru Valley:
Rocky valley, surrounded by green pine trees and snow-capped mountains.
    HandChandarwari:
You can do sledging and skiing on the ice here.

Betaab Valley
There is a vast green field park on the plains along the river Liddar. I walked barefoot on that green grass for a long time. Anyone will be lost in the stillness of the desolate valley.

🌐Some observationsঃ

  1. The houses of Kashmiris have almost the same style of architecture. Made of wood, tin, tile, no concrete roof, but with a tin or tile slope. This is mainly because the snow does not get stuck in the winter.
  2. Each house has enough space and the front parking space has flower gardens, plants. The use of grill in the windows of any house in the city or remote mountain village / forest is not noticeable!
  3. There are many army outposts on the highways and in the cities but there is no problem for the tourists.
  4. With the evening traffic on the highway decreasing, public transport is closed. So the work of traveling a little farther must be done in the afternoon.
  5. There are brokers in every tourist spot. Do not listen to them and fix the rent of hotel, car rental, horse trekking, etc. Don't be alarmed to hear that there is no hotel, no car. Try it yourself with cool time and you will get almost everything at a two-thirds price. Many hotels and guesthouses just behind the main street can get very low room rates.
  6. Adequate winter clothes must be taken to Kashmir.
This is the end of my journey. And I am very much happy about my journey. Hope you like my experience on my journey.
