The Blacklist series: Movie Review
The Blacklist is an American thriller series starring James Spader and Megan Boone. It began airing in 2013 and currently, we're awaiting the release of the ninth season in the series.
The Blacklist tells the story of a criminal mastermind Raymond Reddington (number one on the F.B.I most wanted list) who allows himself to be arrested just so he can place himself into the life Of F.B.I Profiler Special Agent Elizabeth Keen. Choosing to work only with Elizabeth, he reveals he has a list of criminals the government has no idea exist. And for immunity, he gives these criminals up. One name at a time.
As the series progress, it is discovered that Raymond has an ulterior motive for getting into Elizabeth's life and they have a history. One which she is unaware of in the beginning.
With a formidable task force headed by Director Harold Cooper, the team also includes Agents Wressler, Haram and Navabi. They travel around the world solving cases, dodging bullets, and uncovering secrets to keep the world in balance. And meanwhile, Elizabeth tries to uncover the real reason Raymond is in her life. But somehow, he seems to always be one step ahead of her.
I love this series because of the versatility of the storyline. It can take an unexpected turn so suddenly you won't expect it. The plot is a perfect blend of action, intrigue, and humor. This is age old recipe for a good story.
Still waiting for the release of the ninth season, and it promises to be a banger. And we would see what else the savvy and crafty mind of the criminal mastermind would come up with and how the beautiful Agent Keen would react to it.
Have you watched the Blacklist? How do you find it? Hope you enjoyed it? What other series have you watched so far? I would love to know in the comments section.
Thank you very much for reading.
