The Aoi Bungaku Series , the Blue Literature Series, presents us as an anime version of six different works by four different authors of Japanese Literature.
Today i'm going to talk about Dazai Osamu's No Longer Human (Ningen Shikkaku).
Synopsis:
Yozo, who falls into greater difficulties as he tries to survive, Yozo, meets a woman who has a life just like his. They both decide to commit double suicide because they have lost everything in their lives. They take sedatives and go to the abyss. She asks the yozo to push her. Yozo pushes her off a cliff and then Yozo jumps, but Yozo survives the double suicide, and Yozo's struggle to resuscitate him begins again.
My thoughts:
Ningen Shikakku shows the shattering of a man's life. It's about an individual who loses his humanity as his life gets worse.
Obviously, it was an anime that I had a hard time watching, which was not because of the literary style of anime, but because the author gave too much space to the experiences of Yozo, the main character in the anime, along with his inner processes, and because these internal processes -- both his feelings and his thoughts -- were incredibly pessimistic. In short, it may not be a good idea to watch in a very pessimistic period.
I was very impressed when I watched No longer Human because Yozo and I had a very similar character. He has a character who can't stay strong in the face of the challenges he faces, and his inability to be part of society has allowed me to connect with Ooba yozo.
Oba Yozo has a fake smile in his childhood photo. He tried to look like a happy person by wearing a fake mask on his face to suppress the bad things he'd been through all his life.
And one of the biggest lessons that can be learned from Ningen Shikkaku is that you can't love other people unless you love yourself.
Result:
I would say the Aoi Bungaku Series is one of the best quality series you can watch. Ningen Shikkaku lasts a total of 4 episodes. If you are not someone who loves to read books, you should definitely give Ningen Shikkaku a chance.
I also suggest you investigate the life of Dazai Osamu, the author of Ningen Shikkau.
About Dazai Osamu and Ningen Shikkaku:
Ningen Shikkaku was first published in June 1948. Immediately after that , june 16th, there was shocking news. Dazai Osamu attempted suicide. The writer has died at the age of 38." I can't write anymore," the suicide note said. Ningen shikkaku was mostly thought of as Dazai Osamu's autobiographical novel because of its content.
Oba Yozo and Dazai, the main character in the novel, really have a lot in common. The way he was raised, women, drugs, alcohol and suicide. The rest of the photo appears to support this idea.
This is a family photo of Dazai as a teenager. His smile is wider than anyone else's. His facial expression doesn't match the faces of other family members. He's the only one laughing. Behind that smile, grief and pain are hidden.
It's one of those animes I watch and get impressed with. We see that the negative events experienced by the person as a child do not get away with it when they grow up. We're waiting for more. Health to your labor
