What Can I Say? (Poem)
For a very long time,
I've wandered, barefooted;
Into confusion I've maneuvered;
With my breath the only
noise breaking the silence here,
I continue to wallow into deepest caves;
My journey to the north was futile
and hot; my feet, they were wounded
by the sun of wrath;
It melted my toes until
the toenails remained that I ran
to the east but the east saved me not
The more I visited cardinals
the more my heart was massacred
And in this green yard, all I could see were red flags,
They were; waggling their bloody tails
at my every fall, and being the same cause
of the sorrow that tends to pause my pulse
Enough; it's enough;
Steps need to be taken
to make sales worth the token,
But the right things
that'll rewrite things aright again
has refused to stop by to even bargain
The initial agenda of old
needs to be reawakened but in the meantime,
leave me here wandering in the entire confusion.
Thanks for reading.
