This is Hope
I wished, at least, the seas could see my pleas,
And that tides could hear my tears speak,
That the noise of my voice could set me free,
And send me help before I'll grow below weak;
I travelled on foot through the firmaments beyond,
Just to ask the sun where she gets her glowing smiles;
I counted my lessons and named then one by one,
But the answers I got were still filled with whys;
I searched between the scrolls of kings and emperors,
There's got to be a code that unlocks such fortunes;
I was rather struck like with results extempore,
And my melodies and harmonies played on sad tunes;
Maybe life isn't a picture designed for all to smile at;
Maybe sadness is a pizza for only a sect of people;
Maybe silver spoons on dinning tables is too sacrosanct;
Maybe some are just slaves sold at a price too trifle;
Now, I've decided to follow the paths of hopeless pilgrims,
Who forever tour the world without traces or footprints;
Without an iota of melody hanging around their rhythms,
For with a ghostlike nature, they take unseen sprints.
Now, the light shines through me,
Making a path of faith, a path of better tomorrow,
But something stops me from moving. My doubts,
Now, i throw away my doubts and pick the shield of faith,
Because there is a better tomorrow,
There is hope, This is Hope.
