                              🌙
                            THE MOON

When I was born you hit my skin,
Your the only one I know that can never lose it's gaze,
You have been with me all my life and throughout every phase,

                                 🌙

Lending a listening ear to heal my pain,
Shining your light on all my ways,
You were there when I first found love,
And you were there when she took it away,

                                 🌙

You stared at me when we first made love,
I wonder why you didn't look away,
You were there in all my success and through all my mistakes,
I know when I leave this earth you would watch over my grave,
And your gentle light would shine on where I lay.
