Next, I'll share with you a list of 10 films that I consider great, both for their deep plot and for their excellent level of comedy. In this case, I will mix the genres, so there is something for all tastes.
Here we go:
1 - Titanic (1997)
Based on a true story.
A terrible classic, my favorite movie, and although there are already many that perhaps today I would choose before seeing this one, the strength that both the story and the performance of Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet have are unique.
2- Moulin Rouge (2001)
If you like the music of the 80s, this musical is excellent for you to enjoy a beautiful love story and the incredible voices of the actors: Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman.
3 - Million Dollar Baby
A film of personal improvement that'll leave you thinking about many aspects of life, related to the occupation or profession, the family, and our human condition. Clint Eastwood, Hilary Swank, and Morgan Freeman excel in their performances.
4 - Patch Adams
Based on a true story.
How not add a film like that to this list? Robin Williams, the adorable deceased actor, invites us to see another side of medicine and introduces the idea of how sometimes a smile, that is, a positive emotional state, can generate great improvements in health, much more even than conventional treatment.
5- The Pianist (2002)
Based on a true story.
I was in the dilemma of whether to place in this list Life is Beautiful or the Pianist, since I think we should all see a movie that makes reference to World War II, considering the horrific genocide that took place.
Adrien Brody presents a luxurious interpretation, provoking very strong feelings in the viewer. Empathy will undoubtedly be born to you when you watch this movie. The story takes place in Warsaw (Poland).
6 - Death Poets Club (1989)
Based on real facts.
Again Robin Williams over here. Another moving story, showing how a repressed passion can lead to extremes, and how life is worth much more than the obsession to position oneself (or position someone else) in this or that way in life.
7 - Dallas Buyers Club (2013)
Based on a true story.*
AIDS theme in this film. Excellent. From my point of view, it's necessary to see these types of films. There is a lot of stigmatization around this disease, and I believe it's essential to be able to put ourselves in the shoes of those who suffer from it. Matthew McConaughey makes a stellar performance.
8 - The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)
Based on a true story.
Will Smith blows our minds with his performance, where he plays an entrepreneur who was created literally from nothing. His discipline, faith and persistence took him to the top, even in the most challenging situations you can imagine.
9 - Meet the parents (2000)
This is an excellent comedy, which has 3 parts, but you definitely have to start with this to understand the others. Ben Stiller is a genius in this film.
10 - The silence of the lambs (1991)
Based on real facts.
Just to add a suspenseful one. I haven't knowledge of horror movies, but I did really like thrillers a few years ago, so I wanted to add at least one to this little list.
This film, starring Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins, features an investigator who goes after a man who is not only a cannibal killer but also a psychiatrist. The story is divided into three parts, of which The Silence of the Innocents is the first. It literally keeps you with your heart in your mouth.
Well... there were many movies to put on this list. I had to go filtering! But shortly I will upload listings according to the genre.

10 PELÍCULAS QUE DEBES VER!!
A continuación, compartiré con ustedes un listado de 10 películas que considero geniales, sea por su trama profunda, como por su excelente nivel de comedia. En este caso, mezclaré los géneros, así hay para todos los gustos.
Aquí vamos:
1 - Titanic (1997)
Basada en una historia real.
Un terrible clásico, mi película preferida, y aunque ya hay muchas que quizás hoy elegiría antes de ver esta, la fuerza que tiene tanto la historia como la actuación de Leonardo DiCaprio y Kate Winslet, son únicas.
2- Moulin Rouge (2001)
Si te gusta la música de los 80, este musical es excelente para que disfrutes de una bella historia de amor y las voces increíbles de los actores: Ewan McGregor y Nicole Kidman.
3 - Million Dollar Baby
Una película de superación personal que te dejará pensando en numerosos aspectos de la vida, vinculados con la ocupación o profesión, la familia y nuestra condición de humanos. Clint Eastwood, Hilary Swank y Morgan Freeman se lucen en sus interpretaciones.

¿Cómo no agregar en esta lista un film como ese? Robin Williams, el adorable actor ya fallecido, nos invita a ver otra cara de la medicina, e introduce la idea de cómo a veces una sonrisa, es decir, un estado emocional positivo, puede generar grandes mejoras en la salud, mucho más incluso que un tratamiento convencional.
5- El Pianista (2002)
Basada en una historia real.
Estaba en el dilema de si colocar en este listado a La Vida es Bella o al Pianista, ya que creo que todos deberíamos ver alguna vez en la vida, una película que haga referencia a la 2da Guerra Mundial, considerando el espantoso genocidio que se llevó a cabo.
Adrien Brody presenta una interpretación de lujo, provocando en el espectador sentimientos muy fuertes. La empatía te nacerá indudablemente al ver esta película. La historia transcurre en Varsovia (Polonia).
6 - La Sociedad de los Poetas Muertos (1989)
Basada en hechos reales.
Nuevamente Robin Williams por aquí. Otra historia conmovedora, que muestra cómo una pasión reprimida puede conducir a los extremos, y cómo la vida vale mucho más que la obsesión de posicionarse (o posicionar a un otro) de tal o cual manera en la vida.
7 - Dallas Buyers Club, El Club de los Desahuciados en español (2013)
Basada n una historia real.
Tema SIDA en este film. Excelente. Desde mi punto de vista es necesario ver este tipo de películas. Hay mucha estigmatización alrededor de dicha enfermedad, y creo fundamental ser capaces de ponernos en el lugar de quienes la padecen. Matthew McConaughey hace una interpretación estelar.
8 - En busca de la Felicidad (2006)
Basada en una historia real
Will Smith nos deja la cabeza volando con su actuación, en donde interpreta a un empresario que se creó literalmente de la nada. Su disciplina, fe y persistencia lo llevaron a la cima, aun en las situaciones más desafiantes que puedas imaginar.
9 - La familia de mi novia (2000)
Esta es una comedia excelente, que cuenta con 3 partes, pero definitivamente hay que empezar por esta para entender las otras. Ben Stiller es un genio en este film.
10 - El silencio de los Inocentes (1991)
Basada en hechos reales
Solo por agregar una de suspenso. No tengo conocimiento sobre películas de terror, pero sí me gustaban mucho los thrillers hace unos años atrás, así que, quise agregar al menos uno en esta pequeña lista.
Esta película, protagonizada por Jodie Foster y Anthony Hopkins, presenta a una investigadora que va tras un hombre que no solo es un asesino caníbal, sino que también es médico psiquiatra. La historia se divide en tres partes, de las cuales El Silencio de los Inocentes es la primera. Te mantiene literalmente, con el corazón en la boca.
Bueno... quedaron muchas pelis por poner en esta lista. Tuve que ir filtrando! Pero en breve subiré listados según el género.
