Hello everybody!! Today I bring you a post aimed at those who have recently come to Steemit. In the beginning, there are many words that are unfamiliar (usually), and that although we don't know, they are essential to understand how to use the platform.

My first days here, I had to find, for example, what "Markdown" meant, what it meant to vote (at first I thought it was just like "to give a like"), or even, I didn't know that "bot" was the abbreviation for "robot" (yes, that little did I know about these subjects).

That is why I have written this glossary, because it may be useful to you. The idea is to improve it, both in its number of words and in the description of the meaning.

GLOSSARY FOR STEEMIT

Word/ term	Meaning
BLOCKCHAIN	Steemit is a Blockchain. It's a structure that is characterized by having total and complete transparency and decentralization. It uses codes that provide security because they are extremely difficult to crack.
BOT	It's basically... a robot, an automated, mechanical, and artificial system, that carries out an action.
COMMENTING	You are going to hear this a lot, it's to give a reward to a post, or to a comment that someone has left in your article.
CURATOR	It's the person who is in charge of voting, and who generally tries to do it fairly, most of the time with previously established criteria.
CURATION	It's the same as voting, and it is precisely to give a certain value to a publication or comment.
DISCORD	It's the application that is used the most to discuss topics related to Steemit.
DOWNVOTE	Remove the vote from a post that had been rated. This is done for specific reasons, such as plagiarism.
HACKER	The person behind accounts that are in charge of stealing accounts or decoding passwords to enter an account and take their profits or publish on behalf of someone else.
MARKDOWN	It's the language that we'll use in our publications to give format: bold to the text, justify, take a photo to the left, load images, center them, etc.
PLAGIARISM	It's copying the content that another author has created and publishing it as your own.
POWER UP	It's to make your Steem available in SP.
RESTEEM	It's sharing a post.
SBD	It's the Steem dollar. If your publication is set to 50%, you will receive your reward in this cryptocurrency.
MUTTING	It's hiding someone's post for a specific reason. It could be plagiarism, spam or others.
SP	It's Steem Power. It's the Steem that accumulates in your account and that has the power needed to win position. If there is an element key for the grown as a user because you win a position with this and you increase your voting power.
SPAM	They are accounts created to promote different issues and many times they are responsible for spreading false links for the growth of accounts.
STEEM	It's the cryptocurrency of Steemit.

Hola a todos!! Hoy les traingo un post orientado a quienes hace poco han llegado a Steemit. Al principio, hay muchas palabras que son poco familiares (por lo general), y que aunque no conozcamos, son fundamentales para entender el manejo de la plataforma.

Mis primeros días quí, tuve que buscar, por ejemplo, qué significaba "Markdown", quésignificaba votar (al principio pensaba que era como "dar un me gusta" simplemente), o incluso, no sabía que "bot", era la abreviatura para "robot" (sí, así de poco sabía sobre estos temas).

Por eso hearmado este glosario, porque quizás te sea útil. La idea es ir mejorándolo, tanto en su cantidad de palabras como en la descripción del significado.

GLOSARIO PARA STEEMIT

Palabra / término	Significado
BLOCKCHAIN	Steemit es una Blockchain. Esto significa, en español, cadena de bloques. Es una estructura coficicada que se caracteriza por tener total y completa transparencia y descentralización. Utiliza códgos que brindan seguridad por ser extremadamente difíciles de descifrar.
BOT	Es básicamente... un robot, un sistema automatizado, mecánico y artificial, que lleva a cabo una acción.
COMENTAR	Vas a escuchar mucho esto, es dar una retribución bien a una publicación de un tercero, o a algo que te hayan comentado en un artículo tuyo.
CURADOR	Es la persona que se encarga de efectuar votos, y que en general bueca hacerlo de manera equitativa y justa, la mayoría de las veces con criterios previamente establecidos.
CURAR	Es lo mismo que votar, y es justamente dar un valor determinado a una publicación o comentario.
DISCORD	Es la aplicación que más se utiliza para hablar temas relacionados con Steemit.
DOWNVOTE	Retirar el voto de una publicación que había sido valorada. Esto se hace por motivos específicos, como podría ser los casos de plagio.
HACKER	Es la persona que está detrás de cuentasque se encargan de robar cuentas o decodificar contraseñas para ingresar a unacuenta y tomar sus ganancias o publicar en nombre de otra persona.
MARKDOWN	Es el lenguaje que utilizaremos en nuestras publicaciones para darle forma: negrita al texto, justificar, llevar una foto a la izquierda, cargar imágenes, centrarlas, etc.
PLAGIO	Es copiar el contenido que ha creado otro autor y publicarlo como propio.
POWER UP	Es convertir tu Steem disponible en SP.
RESTEEM	Compartir una publicación.
SBD	Es el Steem dolar. Si tu publicación está configurada al 50%, recibirás tu recompensa en esta criptomoneda.
SILENCIAR	Es ocultar la publicación de alguien por algún motivo concreto. Podría ser plagio, spam u otros.
SP	Es el Steem Power. Es el Steem que acumulas en tu cuenta y que le da la potencia que necesita para posicionarse. Se trata de un elemento clave para el crecimiento como usuario, ya que no solo ganas posición por cuánto tengas, sino que incrementa el valor de tu voto.
SPAM	Son cuentas creadas para promocionar diferentes cuestiones y muchas veces se encargan de difundir links falsos para el crecimiento de cuentas.
STEEM	Es la criptomoneda de Steemit.
