The 10 Commandments of Steemit

1- You will protect your account

It's essential that you keep the keys in different places and that you not only have them in a file on your computer or in an email. Write them on a piece of paper too, or even 2.

2- You will frequently check the @steemitblog page

In @steemitblog you'll find the updates that affect us all #steemit users. If there is a new contest from the Steemit team, a new rule, a new game, cryptocurrency updates such as the TRX integration... It's the direct contact of the Steemit team with all of us. Check it at least 2 or 3 times a week.

3- You will not copy

We always read it: Don't plagiarize. Sometimes it reminds me of school: not to copy your classmate. It's hard to believe that it needs to be clarified, but yes. There are many situations of plagiarism, which is quite sad, because taking work that took someone else time and energy isn't right. And think about it: your blog will be full of content that is not yours.

Sometimes this is done accidentally because this rule is unknown, but it's one of the most important.

4- You will respect other bloggers

On one hand, #steemit is a platform full of people from all over the world, there are different cultures, languages, religions, etc. To handle yourself here with love, you must be a person who accepts and respects everyone.

On the other hand, if you need to say something to someone, do it with love and respect, without speaking aggressively.

5- You will remain active

After 8 days of not publishing, a user becomes inactive, since their publications all expired on day 7. The more you publish and the more you move around here, the more visibility you'll have.

6- You will read publications from other steemians

We all like to have our work read, right? Sometimes there is little time, yes, but getting into the habit of reading 2-3 posts a day takes just a few minutes, and after that, you will feel great.

7- You will vote the content of other users

The vote you give to other users helps them and you. You will not lose your mana for voting. Of course you don't have to lose 80% of the voting power of your account. But by voting, you also receive some of that vote (and even more), when the author charges for its content.

8- You will use labels

Each community has its tag or label. In fact, many times each contest has them. This is to improve the visibility of that content, and therefore increase the chances of it being voted on.

9- You will use Markdown in your publications

This will make your creations original, eye-catching, entertaining. It's not the same to read a lot of text alone, to see subtitles, images, links.

10- Your content will be exclusive to Steemit

This is cool. Sure, you can have content on other social networks, but ... doesn't it seem like a great idea to bet on Steemit and create content that you only publish here? When you give this platform that exclusivity, you have the possibility of positioning yourself better as a steemian, since those who take this path are highly valued.

1- Protegerás tu cuenta

Es fundamental que guardes las claves en diferentes lugares y que no solo las tengas en un archivo de la computadora o en un correo electrónico. Escribilas en un papel también, o incluso en 2.

2- Revisarás frecuentemente la página de @steemitblog

En @steemitblog se encuentran las actualizaciones que nos afectan a todos los usuarios de #steemit. Si hay un nuevo concurso, una nueva regla, un nuevo juego, actualizaciones de criptomonedas como fue la integración de TRX. Es el contacto directo del equipo de Steemit con todos nosotros. Revisalo como mínimo 2 veces o 3 por semana.

3- No copiarás

Siempre lo leemos: No hacer plagio. A veces me hace acordar a la escuela: no copiar al compañero. Cuesta creer que haya que aclararlo, pero si. Hay muchas situaciones de plagio, lo cual es bastante triste, porque tomar el trabajo que a otra persona le llevó tiempo y energía, no está bien por un lado, y por otro lado, tu blog quedará repleto de contenio que no es tuyo.

A veces esto se hace de manera accidental, porque se desconoce esta regla, pero es una de las más importantes.

4- Respetarás a los demás bloggers

Por un lado, #steemit es una plataforma repleta de personas de todo el mundo, hay diferentes culturas, idiomas, religiones, etc. Para manejarte aquí con amor, debes ser una persona que acepta y respeta a todos.

Por otro lado, si necesitas decirle algo a alguien, hacelo con amor y respeto, sin hablar de manera agresiva.

5- Permanecerás activo

A partir de los 8 días de no publicar, un usuario pasa a ser inactivo, ya que sus publicaciones vencieron todas al día 7. Mientras más publiques y más te muevas por aquí, más visibilidad tendrás.

6- Leerás publicaciones de otros steemians

A todos nos gusta que lean nuestro trabajo, cierto? A veces hay poco tiempo, sí, pero hacerse el hábito de leer 2 o 3 publicaciones por día, toma solo unos pocos minutos, y después de ello te sentirás genial.

7- Votarás el contenido de otros usuarios

El voto que le das a otros usuarios los ayuda a ellos y a vos. No perderás tu maná por votar, claro que no tenés que bajar del 80% de poder de voto de tu cuenta. Pero al votar, vos también recibís algo de ese voto (e incluso más), cuando el autor cobra por su contenido.

8- Utilizarás etiquetas

Cada comunidad tiene su tag o etiqueta. De hecho muchas veces cada concurso las tiene. Esto es para mejorar la visibilidad de ese contenido, y por lo tanto incrementar las posibilidades de que sea votado.

9- Utilizarás Markdown en tus publicaciones

Esto hará que tus creaciones sean originales, llamativas, entretenidas. No es lo mismo leer un montón de texto solo, a ver subtítulos, imágenes, links.

10- Tu contenido será exclusivo para Steemit

Este es genial. Claro, podés tener contenido en otras redes sociales, pero... no te parece una idea genial apostar por Steemit y crear contenido que sólo publiques acá? Cuando le das esa exclusividad a esta plataforma, tenés la posibilidad de posicionarte mejor como steemian, ya que se valora enormemente a aquel que toma este camino.
