It is clear that almost 35% of the world have eye defects. What is this eye defects all about?
Eye defects are the impairments in vision. Or put simply as the difficulties in vision. There are some many defects in the eyes but let's look at some of them.

  1. Cataract : This is a condition in which a part of your eye (the lens) becomes cloudy and you cannot see clearly. This can be removed and replaced with an artificial lens called an intraocular lens (IOL). This lens replacement is permanent which means you only need to have surgery once.

  1. Glaucoma :In glaucoma, it is a group of conditions that describe damage to the optic nerve that's usually caused by elevated pressure inside the eye i.e pressure inside one or both eyes. This is a very deadly defect. Why is it so ? It is so because if is untreated it can lead to blindness .
In glaucoma, the symptoms depends on the stage of your condition. Let's take for example , someone having Acute angel-closure glaucoma, the symptoms that follows are blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, eye pain etc.

3.Astigmatism : There are many astigmatisms like compound astigmatism, regular and irregular astigmatism , lenticular and corneal astigmatism etc.
The main symptom is blurring.
Correction is by wearing Cylindrical glasses .

This is also called farsightedness. It is developed by loss of elasticity of the lens of the eye, occurring typically in middle and old age.gradual, age-related loss of the eyes' ability to focus actively on nearby objects.
It becomes noticeable to some people in the early to mid-40s and worsens until around age 65 . It is corrected by contact lenses.

  1. Hypermetropia : This is also called hyperopia or long-sightedness . It is the condition in which the eyeball is too short or the Cornea is not sufficiently curved. A person with this can't see near objects clearly .
It can be corrected by using convex lens eye-glasses .

Also called Short-sightedness occurs when the eye ball is too long or the Cornea is too curved. They can't see far objects clearly.
It is corrected by wearing concave lens eye- glasses ( it diverge light rays from distant objects.
Thank you very much for your maximum attention.👍
