The Interview Showcase #116: Exclusive Talk with A Romanian Blogger
Hello people of Steem and Steemit,
It's a new week, welcome to the 116th edition of “The interview showcase...." and my 40th show for 2024.
If you are new to this page, this lifestyle program has many educational values. A weekly interview of users in the blog concerning some trending topics on the Steemit platform. And tips that can help other Steemians to progress positively and help boost the Steem’s growth.
It will help you to get to know more about Steemians around the globe and even Steem and Steemit itself.
I take time to look at some of the most important topics in the blockchain and have a chat/call with Steemians who have a greater idea about those topics.
They also share some tips that can help other users understand the blockchain and correctly use it. Sometimes they seek valuable suggestions here to help them solve some of their challenges.

On this week's show, I featured @ady-was-here a top gamer who is also a blogger. He is from Romania and also an old time Steem user.
🔶Ady-was-here : Hello Ubongudofot, My name is Adi (short from Adrian as you already know), I am 30 years old, and I am a technology enthusiast.
🔶Ady-was-here : I can't really remember exactly, I think I was hunting for crypto airdrops and I found a post on steemit about some of them. I saw people commented and upvoted the post and it was fascinating that the upvotes were worth crypto and you were being rewarded. I dived deeper into reading posts and later on joined.
🔶Ady-was-here : The first thing that I noticed when I started posting again this year is that there are no BID Bots. When I started posting there were I think hundreds of them. Most the posts on the front page with a payout above 1$ were using a bid bot, the ones with 50-100$ were using a few more. Even I used them, it was almost the only way to get some upvotes on your posts and make it visible.
🔶Ady-was-here : Well, I am still alive (this sounded funny in my head, sorry if it isn't). Over the past years I managed to create a couple of courses on Skillshare that were not only generating a decent passive income but it was also awesome to see people interested in them, doing the homework, asking for advice, showing their work.
Another achievement would be that I started exercising regularly about 4-5 months ago and even bought a bike last month to replace moving by car as much as possible. Feels amazing after a ride or a gym session, the sleep changed dramatically and also the everyday mood and feeling, I really recommend this to everyone.
🔶Ady-was-here : Hmm, the first change that I would have liked to see is STEEMIT being promoted and pushed in other people's "face". While scrolling through TIKTOK you'll see ads for the coins/platforms super small compared to STEEMIT and it's marketcap. If they can do it and have success with it, why can't STEEMIT do it too.
Also another thing would have been a UI refresh but @the-gorilla already started doing that and feels nice to have.
🔶Ady-was-here : Not really a feature, but have the TRX rewards removed from the payout since you are not getting them anymore. It's hard to explain to someone that the value you see in the payout of the post will not be fully received because it's being split between curator and author, having the TRX there and not seeing it in the wallet after claiming it, makes it even harder..
🔶Ady-was-here : I can't name only one, but I can name a few: @event-horizon - great posts/stories and even greater things to learn from, I really recommend reading following her and taking a peek in her posts you won't regret it. @stef1 - rich posts/stories with amazing photos. @the-gorilla - for change logs, bug fixes and also you should check his comments, I discovered him by a GIF reply he did in a comment, I found it funny and followed him after, didn't regret it.
🔶Ady-was-here : The thing that could be done for all countries not only Romania, promote through ads or influencers. Get some people involved, create a community and grow it. It's probably far from easy but doable.
🔶Ady-was-here : If I remember correctly the crypto prices were going down everywhere a lot at that time, there were issues with the blockchain, splitting between Steem and Hive, there were also downvote wars on people's opinion and I thought that the best thing I could do was power down and invest the money in a new PC setup to continue my game development / graphics editing journey.
🔶Ady-was-here : When I was young, me and my sister were spending a couple of weeks in the summer at our grandma in the countryside. No PC, no technology, we were going out early in the morning and have fun with the kids outside until late in the night. Even if at first we didn't like the idea, after the first day we were already settled and having fun. #technology-detox.
🔶Ady-was-here : A 4 weeks journey through Asia probably as a start, visiting something new every day, the difference in culture is fascinating, and everyone that I know and visited there described it as an amazing experience/journey.
🔶Ady-was-here : The only big cost would probably be time, to moderate and develop it further, money comes as a cost only if you are adding rewards.
🔶Ady-was-here : Not sure if you did yet but @event-horizon should be on your list, more people need to discover her content and an interview will led to more details about her blog.
🔶Ady-was-here : It might sound weird, but I love "Earth, Wind & Fire - September", this song came out many years before I was even born, but still tickels the ears while listening.
🔶Ady-was-here : I'd like to say that after a certain age this doesn't apply anymore, or at least not in my case. I could say the greatest fear in life could be death, or take another approach and say it's failure but I feel like there isn't enough time to fear things like these. People have fears (small/big) based on situations they are put in and on the moment/period.
🔶Ady-was-here : Keep up the good work! There are already plenty of things taking place that weren't before, things are moving. Maybe a Winter/Christmas/New Year event, challenge, like a list of your next year's TO-DOs, I don't know. It would be fun to read them.
🔶Ady-was-here : Hard to tell, from the top of my head I'd say Artyom from the Metro series. If you haven't played these games you should check them.
🔶Ady-was-here : It needs to be the educational system, it's so old and out of date that the things you learn will rarely be used. It's been like this for the past 20+ years and probably will never be changed, or not anytime soon
🔶Ady-was-here : Interesting concept, I like the format, the questions, the host. I would surely check them from now on, I don't know how I missed them until now..

It was nice to know more about the person behind ady-was-here. I have always found your content refreshing, specially your gif-packed gaming blogs.
I feel happy about the fact that I'm among your favourite creators here. Remarks like these always put a pressure on me to do better and the thought of doing better keeps me from posting frequently because I think too much about what goes live from my account. 😁
Also, I have had the pleasure and honour of being a part of this show. @ubongudofot isn't going to invite me for the third time. 🤭
@ubongudofot, how about I interview you in your next issue? You should play guest once, for a change.😀
I think it's a good idea..., "the interviewer beign interviewed 😀. Coming up soon...
I thought about it too, once
Thank you for having me. Can't wait to check future guests on your interviews.

I'm glad we could do this Adrian. And sure you can check this space by next week Thursday to see my guest.
Goodnight from Nigeria.
