News Dairygame - 5/11/2022 :Good news concerning the flood disaster -
Good evening friends,
If you have been following up my article you would remember when I told you about the the natural disasters disturbing Otuoke, Bayelsa which happens to be my second home, Incase you don't know, the flood was caused by the opening of one of Cameroon biggest dam.
It with great pleasure and happiness that I want to tell you that the flood has finally stopped increasing and according to some elders in the community " Whenever the flood is about to go, the water loses current and stop increasing in height", so from my understanding this is the first stage that proofs the flood is flowing back to it souce.
So many citizens including students are really happy because of this update and students have started preparing to resume school and take exams in due time, infact the Senate governing my school just made an announcement that school would be opened on the 20 of November 2022 and the added that our examination would commerce after a week which turns out to be on the 28-November-2022.
So this should explain my reduce in my activeness but worry less because this would be my last exam in the university which will leave me with no distractions and give me opportunity to work day and night for the growth of steemit
Although some are happy the flood is reducing others are busy trying to clean up their apartment and remaining set are busy crying because of what the flood destroyed, the flood had destroyed so many and building in the town, infact some major road like tombia - Otuoke road has been totally destroyed by the flood. This flood has also caused the standard of living in Bayelsa really high because importation and exportation were all at hold because the vehicles couldn't go through the flood.
For example
Transportation from Yenegoa to Otuoke used to be 300 naira = 1.5 steem but now it cost 1000 naira = 5 steem per passenger.
A bag of sachet water used to be 200= 1 Steem but now a bag of sachet water is 800 =4 steem.
A custard paint of garri used to be 800 naira = 4 steem but because of the flood it cost as much as 1500 per custard paint of garri.
A cup of rice used to be worth 100 naira = 0.5 steem per cup but now it's very much expensive because a cup of rice now cost 300 naira = 1.5 steemit
Most food stuff has really gone so expensive because the only food in circulation are old stocks, the flood destroyed all farm land it came across and has blocked the road for new stock.
Something happened yesterday that gave us joy, yesterday by 4 pm a tanker carrying large quantity of fuel arrived at Emeya fueling station, Emeya is a neighboring community to Otuoke. This made the price of fuel to reduce back to 250 naira per liter = 1.25 steem from the 1000 naira per liter = 4 steem, this raised the hopes of every citizens in otuoke that better days are coming. Everyone is believing that food stuff would be the next goods to arrive and it will result to the reduce price of foodstuffs and also reduce the rate of hunger in the community.
After taking with some really old people in the community, the said that the flood would dry up before the Christmas holiday and this made me happy because they flood has cost alot to residence of this community.
When writing this post Steem was 200 naira per steem, so all calculations were made based on this figure

To be sincere when I saw this bullish movement of steem that started last week I was so proud 🥲 of my baby steem, when I saw the current price I believed that SBD is coming back to us. Indeed we have missed SBD and we would love to see the both coin continue to excell.
Thank you very much, hope steemit continue grow higher.
