Some important things about marriage.
Marriage is not just a union between two individuals; it is a bond of love, a promise of togetherness, and the merging of two families. Here are some heartfelt thoughts about marriage:
- Foundation of Love: Marriage is a relationship where love, respect, and trust strengthen the bond between two people.
2.Importance of Partnership: A happy married life is built on understanding, supporting, and standing by each other in every situation.
3 Family Bonding: Marriage brings not just two individuals but also their families together, creating a sense of unity and connection.
4.Cultural Beauty: In many societies, marriage is celebrated as a sacred event, showcasing traditions, rituals, and cultural values.
5.Challenges and Growth: Challenges are a natural part of marriage, but with patience, mutual support, and love, they can be overcome, strengthening the relationship.
6.A New Chapter: Marriage marks the beginning of a new chapter in life, where joys and sorrows are shared together.
It is a significant step in life, one that should be approached thoughtfully, ensuring it becomes a source of happiness and harmony.
Muslim marriage rules
The rules of marriage for Muslims are based on Islamic Shariah and are considered a significant aspect of the religion. The key requirements and principles are as follows:
1. Proposal and Acceptance (Ijab and Qabul):
Marriage requires the mutual consent of both parties.
The groom offers the proposal (Ijab), and the bride accepts it (Qabul).
This must take place in the presence of at least two witnesses.
2. Mahr (Dowry):
A financial gift, known as Mahr, must be given by the groom to the bride.
The amount is agreed upon by both parties and is obligatory according to Shariah.
3. Witnesses:
The marriage must be witnessed by at least two adult Muslim males.
If female witnesses are involved, two women are equivalent to one male witness.
4. Permission of Wali (Guardian):
The bride needs the permission of her Wali (guardian), especially if she is not yet an adult.
The Wali is usually a close male relative, such as the father or uncle.
5. Mutual Consent:
Both the bride and groom must agree to the marriage. Without mutual consent, the marriage is not valid in Islam.
6. Nikah Khutbah (Marriage Sermon):
Delivering a Khutbah (sermon) during the Nikah is a Sunnah practice.
The sermon includes praise for Allah, blessings on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and a discussion on the purpose of marriage.
7. Following Islamic Guidelines:
Both the bride and groom must be Muslims.
If one of them is a non-Muslim, they must accept Islam before the marriage is valid.
8. Avoiding Prohibited Relationships:
Marriages between close blood relatives or other prohibited relationships as per Shariah are not allowed.
9. Simple Arrangements:
Islam encourages simple and modest weddings, avoiding extravagance and unnecessary expenses.
By adhering to these rules, a Muslim marriage is considered valid, lawful, and blessed in Islam.
