Onion farming method: How to farm onions. This is how I saw onion farming firsthand in Begumpur village of Darshana police station in Chuadanga district. ( 16 January 2025)

Friends, how are you all? I hope everyone is well. I am fine too, Alhamdulillah.
Today I present to you a new blog on onion cultivation methods.

Onion is a very popular spice item or curry item in Bangladesh. Whatever you think, onion is in high demand in Bangladesh.
This product is in such high demand that it has to be imported from India, Pakistan, China, Bangladesh.
Once upon a time, a lot of it was imported from India, now it is imported more from Pakistan and China.
And our local onion is being cultivated in Bangladesh, which you can see in the picture.
These onions are in huge demand in Bangladesh. It is the onion season now. After harvesting them, women clean them thoroughly and dry them in the sun.
Then the buyers come and take the wholesale from the fields.
From this village, onions are sent to different parts of the country.
For example, Dhaka-Chittagong, Sylhet, Cox's Bazar in different regions of the country
The onions are being picked by day laborers. We also collected some onions from there and sold them in bulk.
Where the current price of onion in the market is 55 to 60 taka in the retail market, we have also taken it from here to 40 taka per kg.
It's not a little bit of a savings, but if we can buy onions directly from farmers, it will save a lot of money, and not just onions, but all kinds of crops can be purchased from farmers at a much lower price.
So friends, we will always try to buy these from farmers and encourage them to cultivate them. We will also want to cultivate them ourselves.
