In fact, the natural disaster Cyclone Sitrang occurred in our country 4/5 days ago. Due to the impact of this Cyclone Sitrang, our Bangladesh has faced huge losses. Bangladesh is a riverine country as it has many rivers big and small. And if there is a small flood or storm here, the river waters rise a lot and flood water fills the surroundings. Because of this, after 4-5 days of this flood, the roads and streets of many parts of our Dhaka city are submerged in water.

To observe these submerged roads and how people move after the flood. I left my house in the morning and walked towards the road. Then I saw that the roads were submerged in water. People are commuting to their workplace through these water-logged roads. The roads are waterlogged due to lack of drainage system in these roads. And various vehicles, rickshaws, vans, are plying with difficulty from the middle of this sunken road.

By noon, the cloudy sky cleared a bit and the rain subsided a lot. But there is a lot of water around. Even after the rain subsided some drizzle was falling all around and at this time I visited the houses of some people in my area and saw that many houses were inundated by this flood water. Due to this, people are unable to leave their homes and various shops are also closed. As a result, people are facing food shortage.

In the afternoon we observed some more markets and shops in our area. At this time there is some sunshine in the sky. Go to those markets and see that some mobile food stalls have opened. And slowly people started to hope in the markets. Currently, the situation in the country has become somewhat normal. However, Cyclone Sitrang has caused a lot of damage to the country.
