It is unheard-of that dead body is sold from Government Medical College and Hospital. Only by selling dead bodies college created 200 crore scam under the very cleaver operation by principal of the college who is now under judicial custody of Central Bureau of Investigation. Not only this, the Hospital is also selling bio medical waste for recycling. It was exported to different countries.

R G Kar hospital fund loot by the ex principal is exposed. Principal is also accused of granting contract to his aides. Aides got lucrative contracts with wrongful gains and rent concession. Afser Ali got contract to run cafe in the hospital premises. Funds siphoned by fixing hospital tenders. Bills altered to help Dr. Sandeep Ghosh' bouncer.

He also twisted the process of recruitment of medical house staff at the hospital to appoint doctors of his choice.

Actually a lady PGT doctor was raped and murdered on the 9th of August in the hospital duty rest room. When there were lots of vague interpretation of the murder and rape case. People demanded the enquiry to be handed over to CBI from State governments investigation team as govt shield ex vice principal no initial action was taken despite floating suicide theory. Not booked for days despite revealing identity. Found to be guilty of corruption in vigilance before but no action. Ghosh shield vigilance group members. Multiple allegation of corruption, organ raket was ignored. Two transfer overturned by State. Third transfer reinstated after ABHAYA rape within four hours. Ex principal grilled over 60 hours by CBI. CBI questioned ex-Principal for the 6th day.

Till today he is under police custody. Interestingly all complent documents submitted against him at different highest level were seized from Dr. Ghosh's residence.

Actually we were earlier with the impression that Government hospital facilities and services are good but due to the scarcity of bed and inadequate staff most of them refuses patients. Obviously those who have emergency they have to proceed to private hospitals. Though the expenses are huge government have started a medical insurance scheme for masses for health coverage. The scheme is Sasta Sathi ( Assistance for health) for those who don't aford the expensive insurance scheme. Government have issued a card per family which covers annual medical expenses of 5,00,000 INR per family. They can get cashless admission to private hospitals. The private hospitals are paid by insurance company after approval of Government Medical team.

In fact I was admitted in the RGKar medical college 50 years ago for my Tonsillitis operation. Those days have changed.

I was admitted in a Central government hospital called JB Pant Hospital due heart failure in 2016. It was absolutely free even for ICU beds. Anyways I was admitted in a Kolkata Missionary hospital in the same year where I took angiography. It was found I require further tests with radioactive isotope for heart scan. At that time only one hospital in Kolkata have the facility and fees were arround 18000 INR. It was not advisable to provide me stent.

But my doctor decided to implement ICD as safety to the good heart. Anyways it cost us 250000 INR for device. Total cost of operations and other incidental charges was 100000 INR.

Unfortunately I had two more heart attacks again in 2022 when I was provided with three stents when I was admitted in the same missionary hospital. In those cases I availed the Sasta Sathi scheme, it was cashless treatment. Total cost was 350000 INR .
