Contest! My teacher on Steemit

Being on a platform like Steemit as a newbie without someone to give you tips on how to grow on the platform and how to also remain on the platform is quite detrimental to one's growth on Steemit. Like some people do say, " follow who know road", I believe going with the right person who has been in the right direction for a long while on Steemit, is one decision a newbie has to make.

Tell us who has guided or taught you on the Steemit Platform

The one who has been my guide and has being teaching me on the Steemit platform is @bossj23. Of course, I got to know about Steemit through him. He took his time to educate me on what the platform is all about, why I should get registered on the platform and what it takes to become reputable on the platform.

Even with his busy schedule, combining studies and being active on the Steemit platform, he has always taken it as a responsibility to reach out to everyone he is mentoring. He does this via a WhatsApp group where everyone is entitled to learning and growing without feeling insecure or less of oneself. He's being guiding us through with how to make our content posts to be attractive and educative, apply markdown styles correctly, check our club statuses, check for plagiarism and Al contents, check the number of words for a particular content post written by us, know our voting CSI for each day and also the importance of upvoting other people's posts.

What have you learned from him/her about Steemit?

We all grow by learning since the purpose of learning is to acquire knowledge and grow with the knowledge acquired. The purpose of teaching would be defeated if learning does not take place. Personally, I ha e learnt a lot from him. The things I have learnt from him include;

• making my posts original and free from plagiarism.
• how to source copyrighted images.
• how to check for plagiarism and Al generated content using
• how to check my voting CSI everyday.
• how to confirm my clubstatus.
• how to monitor my account using steemworld.org
• how to upvote posts and make comments on them.
• consistency
• resilience
• how to make my content worth reading.
• how to power up correctly and to make transfers.
• how to get free images using websites like Pixabay, Pexels and Unsplah.

What are the perceived benefits, has your support increased?

Learning could sometimes be slow for some persons and quick for others and so some learning benefits could come immediately and some later.

Personally, with putting into practice what he's being teaching us, it is safe to say that these three months I have been on the Steemit platform has been productive. Although, I haven't met my target , I know I am making good progress at the moment and that in a little while I'd be better on the platform and would meet my target.

The benefits I have gotten since I took on to learning from him are;

• increase in the amount of my steem power
• increase in my reputation on the platform
• being able to write well at least to a considerable degree (I was bad at assembling my thoughts into words).
• increased support from members of the different communities I post on.
• I have learnt resilience... I'm not giving up on this platform anytime soon.

Being a teacher comes with so much burden especially when you have so many persons to cater for and to guide so they don't stray. @bossj23 has been able to manage his mentees and I must say ,his way of keeping in touch with all of us is top-notch. I do hope and I am working towards doing better and getting the best out of this platform.
