"Contest Alert !!! || "Private vs Public Hospitals".
Many thanks to abdullahw2 for bringing something like this on the table. By way of introduction, a hospital is a place of healing where skilled professionals deploy their skills and experience to diagnose, treat, and nurture sick people back to health and wellness. It is not a place to be or dwell but only visited when need arises.
troubling circumstances, demonstrating resilience in the face of misfortune or calamity.
And so many more qualities about public hospitals.
The reason is that in public hospitals, the government subsidizes the cost of health services, while in private hospitals, the patient pays for everything, and it is so expensive that only a few can afford it.
Personally, I have not been hospitalized before. The reason is that my sickness is one that can be treated with over-the-counter drugs prescribed by a family doctor, so I don't need hospital service. But I will share my father's experience.
On one fateful evening after dinner, he was just discussing with my mom, and suddenly he was pressed, so he went to the toilet to ease himself. After that, he realized he couldn't move again, like walk out of the restroom, and immediately he started having excruciating pain in his abdomen. He shouted, and my mom heard him and ran to the toilet. Behold, my dad was right there, glued to the toilet door.
He was rushed to the hospital, a private clinic. Even with the pains, they didn't attend to him until the card was bought and part payment was made. That was when they diagnosed it as an appendix that ruptured, and surgery was carried out almost immediately.
After some days, he recovered, and he was asked to buy drugs from the clinic pharmacy, which were very expensive. The experience was not good because all his savings were used for the treatment.
Endeavor to always go for regular checkups in any hospital of choice because health is wealth.
