Contest :"I can tell a story, Pt 1".

Ann sat down with tears rolling down her cheeks and her heart mourned. One would think the reason behind her tears might be as a result of her loosing a loved one. But not so,she has indeed lost something, and no amount of tears could make recount time. She regretted every wrong decision she made. Not only did she fail the exam but she had lost time and all her peers are now ahead of her.

Ann sat for the West African Examination Council exams with a great level of faith because her school was known for always ensuring that their students pass the exams and this year things will still be the same. Prior to this moment Ann was one of the students who believed that as long as the exams was concerned it was a done deal since the assurance of assistance was there.

Ann used all her time before the exams to catch fun. She did not have to bother herself about reading because her passing the exam was 100% guarantee or so she believed. She spent all her time on unnecessary things and lazied about while her mates still studied not relying on the already planned assistance.

Looking at her WAEC result now Ann shed tears. Her heart beating loudly. She had failed Mathematics and English in the exams and without those, there was no furthering of her Education. At that point she cried bitterly and wished she had done her part by reading for the exams. Her friends had made their papers and we're already putting things in place for their university education while she will be resitting WAEC.

Anna wept bitterly. she had wasted time and resources her parents were disappointed, and all her friends are proceeding to the university without her. If only she studied her books and not relied totally on the school for assistance she thought. She now understood the saying that "nothing good comes easily" but she learnt the hard way.
