First of all, you need to find out what types of fish are found here. For example, in this small lake in question, large crucian carp are introduced. At the end of April, fishermen hunt for a predator, or for large and small carp.

When I went fishing, I took into account that there are crucian and perch here. Accordingly, I prepared special types of bait and bait.

Feeding plays an important role in any water body. The fact is that the fish must be attracted to the place where the angler sits. Basically, I use different types of cake.

In particular, we are talking about Makukha with various additives. I mainly use makuha with flavors such as honey, vanilla, anise, garlic, maggot and bloodworm. For feeding, when hunting for crucian carp, sunflower cake is excellent. In this case, there is no need to use additional aromatic additives.

Nozzles

Yes, when fishing for perch on a float rod, you must use a special type of bait. In particular, we are talking about live bait (a small fish). But you can take the red worm. In some cases, maggot is great. Unfortunately, I did not manage to get a maggot. Accordingly, I was forced to use red and black worms as nozzles.

Fishing

When hunting crucian and perch, it is recommended to go to the shore of the lake as early as possible. Since it is still not too warm at the end of April, you can start fishing at 6-7 in the morning. Personally, I try to go ashore at 5:30 in the morning. After preparation, I throw gear into the water.

The last time I was fishing (April 26, my birthday), I started fishing at 6:30 in the morning.

The first 30 minutes passed without much bite. At 7:00 in the morning the crucian began to peck. I pulled out the first fish at the beginning of 8 in the morning. As you can see in the photo, crucian carp is pretty decent.

On this day, there was no long bite. The fish were active until 9:30 am. After that, there was a lull. In total, before the break, I pulled out 4 crucians. Then, I switched to catching other types of fish.

By the end of the fishing I was able to catch a few more perches, one rudd and a couple of perches. True fished until 11:30 in the afternoon.

Yes, there was not enough maggot on fishing. This type of bait worked well on small lakes last year. Unfortunately, now it is far from always possible to find where to buy this type of live bait.
