Rainy Saturday and travelling to the South East of Mauritius! Let me show you Mahebourg when it's raining!!!
Rainy Saturday in Mauritius!!!
Most of the time, it is when it is sunny that I take photos of my weekly travel to Mahebourg and share on my blog...
Mahebourg is a coastal village found just 5 minutes drive from the airport of Mauritius and located in the south east of the island - Check out the #what3words link here!
Since couple of days now, it has been raining a lot here in Mauritius and it was the same today...rainy Saturday!!!
Rain or not...I have to do my usual daily job!!! And usually on Saturdays, I have to travel to Mahebourg to make some snacks delivery for a client.
Here's how the weather was when I was driving in the direction of the south east earlier today, it was around 12.30pm!!!
Cool temperatures with these rains!
The rain is making so much good on the temperatures side as recently it was so hot...
After completing the delivery, I seized the opportunity and went near the beach to take some photos from my car itself because of the rain...
People fishing...
Despite the heavy rain, I saw some people line fishing in the sea...looked scary thing for me as the sea was rough too!
Whole day and night raining...
I think since 3 days now I haven't see the sun...it has been raining all day and night long that even our solar water heater is not functioning properly...
The below photo is when I was driving back from Mahebourg to my house...on the left is the airport of Mauritius and usually when it is sunny, you get to enjoy the beauty of nature on the front and right side!
But today it was foggy and even the mountains were hidden behind clouds!
Stay warm...specially the kids!
The kids are safe at home and had a nice Saturday on the sofa under the blanket while eating sweets and watching videos!!!
I cam back home around 13.45pm and stayed inside until it was time to go for dinner service at my restaurant at 17pm!
Here we are friends, a little glimpse of how Mauritius looks like when it is raining...
We do have some regions affected with floods but overall it is always nice to have such rains as our water reservoirs are filled up to 100%!
Thank you for reading and hope you've enjoyed the post!
Have a great day/evening ahead!
@progressivechef

This is the first rainy photos I have ever seen of Mauritius. :-)
