Hello friends of Steemians on Steem Travelers...

So happy to see you again @lienla in my latest post. I hope all of you are always in good health and get protection from God. This is my second post in this community.

In this post I will tell you about my travel experience in Banda Aceh. This is my trip in the school semester holidays. During my one week vacation trip to Banda Aceh, I visited several places. I make the best use of this free time to enjoy my vacation.

I visited one of the urban forest parks in Banda Aceh. This park is called the BNI BANDA ACEH FOREST PARK. This forest is located on Forest Road, Tibang, Syiah Kuala District, Banda Aceh. From the city center it is only about 30 minutes away by motorbike.

That day I went there at noon. The forest which is also a city park is open from 08.00-18.00. This place is open every day, except during the time of the Covid-19 pandemic regulation. As the name suggests, this place is filled with various plants and trees.

It is not wrong to call it a forest, because here there are various types of trees that grow to fill the area with an area of reaching hectares. This forest is on the left side of the road from the city of Banda Aceh. When I visited that day, the place wasn't too crowded, maybe because it was noon, the time for people to rest. To enter the forest area, in front of the entrance there is a bridge which is the welcome point to the forest.

The parking area is in the courtyard of the entrance gate. The parking area has a large size, parking here can accommodate more than hundreds of motorbikes. At the gate there is one guard post, it will be safe to park your vehicle there. When crossing the bridge, there is a concrete monument bearing the name of this place.

In this monument there is a number of information and history of the creation of this urban forest. Information media such as banners and wall magazines can also be easily found on the front page. Here too I found a map that describes the location of this forest. So, before walking around in this forest area, I'd better study the map layout.

While walking towards the other side of the forest, I came across a bridge made of wood. Throughout this area can be seen a variety of living plants. There are types of trees, bamboo, ornamental plants, cypress and various other trees. On each tree I saw there was a stake with a small piece of paper with the tree's name on it.

We can learn the names of the trees, because each tree has been given a name on paper. But I don't really know the name of the tree that grows in this place. This place is a flora education area that is very suitable to increase our knowledge about plants. So, not only enjoy the beauty, but you can get natural knowledge in this forest.

A large forest area, the trees grow spread out with the grass growing densely and well-groomed. Streams of water seemed to always flow over the flowers, giving them life. In different areas I also found children's playgrounds. There are slides, swings, seesaws and several other playgrounds.

This is a place of fun recreation, can be enjoyed in a friendly manner with your family. The atmosphere here is very cool, beautiful and calming the soul. I also found a jogging track which is usually used for jogging in the morning or evening. Moving to the end of this forest area, I found a pond.

This pond looks like a pond overgrown with mangroves. The location is the center of observation for mangrove life and biodiversity. There are milkfish and mujair fish that can be seen swimming in this pond. Apart from being a tourist spot, this urban forest is also often used to conduct scientific studies and research.

According to the information I got, this location used to be a swamp area which was later converted into an urban forest after the 2004 Tsunami. This urban forest park must be protected and preserved. Because this will be a place for play, recreation, tourism, study, observation, or research. In addition, this forest is also a major contributor to become the lungs of the city of Banda Aceh.

Who would have believed that calamity will turn out to be a blessing?

Thank you

The park is very beautiful, located in the city of banda aceh, very clean and well cared for from plant-eating animals, this BNI plant is always in the swamp, cleaned of grass, fallen leaves, dry branches, all very well cared for, I like to enjoy.
