What can I write about on Steem-Travelers?
If you are the member of this community, you most likely love to travel or dream about traveling a lot in the future. Even if you are the traveler, you may struggle sometimes with writing about your trips once or twice weekly. Very little of us are traveling so often. Don't worry - in this post we are going to give you plenty of suggestions what you could write about instead and what posts are allowed on Steem-Travelers.
Steem-Travelers is all about journeys and exploring different cultures. Consider it not only as the Travelers community but also the place to write about Ethnography or Culture, in general. Yes, you may present the culture of your country/region for the potential travelers who may visit it some day.
You can write about:
| Trips and Travels that you have made in the past source | I think that point is obvious. It can be far away journeys to the other continents or countries or... visiting the local street market, village 15 km away or the nearby forest. The proper distance from which the trip is counted does not exist if it's well described. Try to make it original and interesting or funny. Use your own photos and remember - quality is more improtant than quantity. You can make it in a form of photo story, but please add at least 150 words except of inroduction or summary. |

Trips and Travels that you wish to make some day  source | Why not to let our imaginary work and describe your dreamed tourist destinations? Write where would you like to go some day and why you want to visit that place. In that case you won't have your own pictures, so you may use some from the internet. Remember that they should be on the CC licence. Using the copyrighted photos guarantee that you won't get any support from us. |
Reviews  source | You may write the review of the hotel, cafeteria, restaurant, tour company or even tent or other touristic equipment. Write if you liked it or not and why, what are advantages and disadvantages of it and what was the price (preferably in STEEM or SBD). |
Tour tips  source | You may write any tips related to traveling. Maybe you know how to hitchike safely, maybe you know how to cook in the forest or know edible plants that can be eaten into the wild. You may also write about the most comfortable way to spend the night in a tent or share informations how to lower the cost of traveling. Maybe you will write about the best way how to pack the bag/backpack or give us the tips how to orientate in the terrain with the stars? It's all up to you. |
The Diary Games  source | Now, this one is tricky. The Diary Games are allowed in our community but exclusively if they include any element travel or culture related. If you are on vacations, you may write the Diary Game here, if you went for a trekking or made a short bicycle trip, you can freely write about it too. Same when you participated in a traditional wedding or when you describe the local holidays. But if your day had nothing to do with traveling, it would be better to write it in another community. |
Traditional food recipes  source | If you want to share the recipe for the home-made pizza, you should probably do it in Steem Foods or Steemit Iron Chef (unless you are from Italy). If you are thinking to describe traditional food from your country or write the recipe with detailed instruction how to prepare one of that meals, then... go for it! |
Traditions, rites  source | You can write the article with the description how the weddings or birthdays are celebrated in your country, you may write about quincaneras or traditions related to New Years Eve. Feel free to describe for us all the traditions and rites characteristic for your country or region. |
Festivals, Holidays  source | Do you have any public holidays or festivals characteristic to your country? How do you spend typical holidays? Write about it, trying to smuggle as much information about ethnography and culture as possible. |
Clothes, dances, music, believes  source | Yes, all that stuff can be the good motivation to write the article in our community as long as it says a lot about your country. Instead of making the publication about the Wrangler jeans that you bought in a shopping mall, write about traditional clothes. Instead of writing about the breakdance and Rihanna, present us music from your country (traditional or modern) and write about dances characteristic for your region. When you write about religion, do not write about Islam, Judaism and Christianity in general, but try to find the elements related to your religion that are characteristic only for your region/country. Yes, after the short research you may be surprised how much the very same religion may differ in many regions of the country. Share with us how does it look like in a place where you live. |
History of your country  source | Yes, why not - write about the historical events, famous people that come from your country or write down the most popular legends. That all are the element of the cultural heritage that we would like to know. |
Local fauna and flora  source | You can write about the most interesting, rare or popular animals and plants from your region/country. Please, share some knowledge about them, photos of the flowers from your garden won't be considered as the post worth upvoting with a big percentage of VP. |
Geography  source | Sure, why not? Write about the geography of your region, describe the climate, write down some stats about the population or describe the country in any other way you wish to. Remember that the content cannot be plagiarized, all the sources has to be properly marked and text cannot be made exclusively of quotes. |
Traveler DIY  source | If you are manually talented, you may share with us the DIY tutorial about making things that could be useful while traveling. Backpack, waterproof bags, maybe the compass? It all could be done at home. |
¿Sobre qué puedo escribir en Steem-Travelers?
Si eres miembro de esta comunidad, lo más probable es que te guste viajar o sueñes con viajar mucho en el futuro. | Viajes que deseas realizar algún día source | ¿Por qué no dejar trabajar nuestro imaginario y describir sus destinos turísticos soñados? Escribe dónde te gustaría ir algún día y por qué quieres visitar ese lugar. En ese caso, no tendrá sus propias imágenes, por lo que puede usar algunas de Internet. Recuerde que deben estar en la licencia CC. El uso de fotos con derechos de autor garantiza que no recibirá ningún tipo de asistencia de nuestra parte. |

Los Juegos del Diario están permitidos en nuestra comunidad pero exclusivamente si incluyen algún elemento relacionado con viajes o cultura. | Ropa, bailes, música, creencias source | Sí, todo eso puede ser una buena motivación para escribir el artículo en nuestra comunidad siempre que diga mucho sobre tu país. En lugar de hacer la publicación sobre los jeans Wrangler que compraste en un centro comercial, escribe sobre ropa tradicional. En lugar de escribir sobre el breakdance y Rihanna, preséntanos música de tu país (tradicional o moderna) y escribe sobre los bailes característicos de tu región. Cuando escribas sobre religión, no escribas sobre el islam, el judaísmo y el cristianismo en general, sino trata de encontrar los elementos relacionados con tu religión que sean característicos solo de tu región / país. Escribe sobre la geografía de tu región, describe el clima, escribe algunas estadísticas sobre la población o describe el país de cualquier otra forma que desees. Recuerde que el contenido no puede ser plagiado, todas las fuentes deben estar debidamente marcadas y el texto no puede estar compuesto exclusivamente por citas. |

This is really amazing, I just found out that there are many things that we can publish in the #Steem-Travelers community. And this is great, even we can publicize and promote Art, custom and Culture. I think this is important to apply in the daily life of travelers, adventurous youth and also millennial travelers.
