We are announcing the 15th edition of the photo contest
This week the topic will be Time traveling with your grandpas. 21st January is the Grandparents Day in Poland. Let's celebrate it by sharing the best photo that we have with our grandparents or, if you already are a grandpa/grandma, with the grandchildren. Your post should include at least one story related to your grandparents. It can be the memory of the time spent together, history about the old times, that they shared with you, or anything else you want.
Remember - the photo must be taken by you. Photos from the Internet are not allowed and will not be taken into account. If you publish more than one picture in your post, we will only consider the first one.
The theme of this week is:
Time traveling with your grandpas
Rules of the contest:
- Publish one photo made by you
- Invite at least two other users to the contest
- Write a short post (minimum 150 words)
- Submit a post to the Steem-Travelers community and leave a link to your entry in a comment below.
- No plagiarism! Photos only yours.
- One post from one participant for the competition.
- Post must be written in English or Spanish

Anunciamos la 15a edición del concurso de fotografía
Esta semana el tema será Viajando en el tiempo con los abuelos. El 21 de enero es el Día de los Abuelos en Polonia. Celebrémoslo compartiendo la mejor foto que tenemos con nuestros abuelos o, si ya eres abuelo/abuela, con los nietos. Tu publicación debe incluir al menos una historia relacionada con tus abuelos. Puede ser el recuerdo de la infancia, la historia de tiempos recientes, algún momento especial que compartieron contigo, o cualquier otra cosa que quieras compartir, recuerda debe estar relacionada con algún viaje!
El tema de esta semana es:
Viajando en el tiempo con los abuelos
Reglas del concurso:
- Publica una foto hecha por tí.
- Escribe una corta descripción, minimo 150 palabras.
- Carga la foto en la comunidad de Steem Travelers y publica el enlace debajo de esta publicación en la sección de comentarios.
- Se prohibe el plagiarismo! Sólo fotos propias.
- Sólo una publicación por participante será tomada en cuenta.
- Debe estar escrito en ingles o en español.
- Invita al menos dos amigos a participar en el concurso.

To my great regret, I have never seen my grandfathers. One died in the Great Patriotic War, and the second died after the war from wounds. But I have a photo of my grandmother that I took in my youth. It should be kept by my mom. I'll try to find her.

Our contests should be as inclusive as possible. To not exclude anyone, shared photo may present non-related elder person/people (portrait). In that case short story attached to the photo can be about our feelings/thoughts - how would it be to be a grandparent or how would it be to meet my grandparents. Alternatively story about our grandparents heard from other relatives.
I have been a grandfather for 14 years. :) I have 2 grandchildren and 3 granddaughters. I very rarely see them in my house. They all live far away from me.
I'll think about what I'm going to write.
