Do you intend to get the monkeypox vaccine when it is available?

No I am nowhere near the actual risk group of contracting this rare disease. My risk of contracting monkeypox is lower than my risk of contracting HIV. I plan to take a vaccine for neither.
An epidemiological survey (n = 508) conducted in Madrid during the last outbreak 2 years ago tells us why. They found that 99% of cases are among men (I wonder why 🤔?) 84% had sex with multiple partners, 78% had homosexual sex (I.e. some form of sodomy between males, 57% were using dating apps to find sex, and 44% had existing cases of HIV.
A narrative review published in Health Science Reports found that 95.6% of cases identified with sex related data were among MSM (men who have sex with men) between 18 and 44 years of age with over 82% of them contracting the virus during a sexual encounter. 45% of people who contracted it were also HIV positive. Note they are drawing these figures from WHO data that accounts for thousands of cases, a much larger sample size than seen in Madrid.
16 of the 17 cases (94.1%) that occurred in the U.S. two years ago occurred in bisexual and homosexual men according to CDC data.
If you haven’t noticed yet, monkeypox cases are even more disproportionately concentrated in the male homosexual population than new HIV cases for which they are somewhere in the ball park of 65–70% of new cases. HIV appears to be the biggest risk factor for contracting the disease in the first place.
I have no intention of getting any vaccine of any sort other than the ones that were created for actual public health such as the ones you get when you are a child. I feel as though new vaccines are created for profit and the government is in on it. Maybe this sounds conspiratorial to some out there but I have a profound distrust of almost anything the government is involved in. The whole Covid fiasco hopefully opened the eyes of a lot of people out there but it also proved that a good portion of the population can be coerced not only into compliance but into helping to vilify anyone that resists the overlords.
