Discussions About What / How To Survive Things That Are Is Coming
The 80s (1980s) where a time when people though about, and some did, build fall out shelters. Today, that seems silly, however, many very rich people are building fall out shelters behind/beneath their mansions.
So… should you be building a fall out shelter?
Can you survive till after its all over, and then pop back out into the new world?
The answer lies in what is the actual situations you will need to survive
AND more importantly, what the universe lessons we need to work through.
Hurricane Helene and North Carolina Flooding
A fallout shelter would not have helped much to survive hurricane Helene. But, having your house above the flood line, and having extra food and alternative power/heating sources would have.
Helene will not be the last natural disaster that rocks our world. Expect more storms, floods, hail (the size of baseballs), earthquakes (even where there are no fault lines), volcanoes, freezes, and maybe even the need for protection from the suns rays.
The Mississippi river will overflow and take at many of the bridges across it. Dividing America in half.
The coast lines will change. We will see rising ocean levels (but not from melting ice as the carbon tax people parrot) We will lose a lot of industry that is near the coast.
I suspect California may become an island again, of maybe just the Colorado River washes things out so that the Pacific Ocean comes up much further than it currently is.
To survive these, you need a sturdy house, stored food, backup power, alternative heating like propane or wood. There will be so many disasters that FEMA, even if it still exists, won't be able to help (or hinder). The military will be stretched thin. So, you have only yourself (family and friends) to rely on.
Make plans.
Have at least a month of food stored. A case of canned stew is quite inexpensive.
Bank Failures / Financial Reset
There are so many ways that you can be denied money in our current system, and that is before any banking disasters planned or happenstance.
There WILL come a time when you cannot access your bank-money through ATMs or credit cards. It could be that your bank is shut down because it is "bankrupt" or that the power has taken out the internet in the area, and no store can process CCs.
You need to have cash on hand to deal with these times. This cash is not for paying your mortgage (do not give it back to the banks), but for acquiring what you need to survive. Fuel, food, lodging…
Then there is the full blown financial collapse. This may be painless if we are already halfway into crypto adoption, or extremely painful as if it happened today, leaving people with no CC, no WIC, no Social inSecurity, and weeks before your job figures out how to pay you.
During these times, cash will be king.
Sure, gold and silver may be great for barter, but they will take a while before most people recognize them as valuable. Don't be surprised if it takes weeks before the grocery store works out how to deal with silver and gold for payments.
So, have some cash on hand (not in the bank)
Have some silver (because it will be valuable, extremely so, but it will take time for people to realize its value)
Have some crypto (because it is the future of money)
Ice-age and the Failure of Monocrop Farming
We are entering an Ice-Age. There is a hot spell before the cold spell. And seriously, an ice-age is colder, longer winters and shorter, more brutal summers. However, most people were taught that an ice-age is just about cold. But, if it was just cold, there wouldn't be much rain, and so there wouldn't be any massive glaciers.
The chemical fertilizer based, mono-crop system of farming mining has almost depleted the world's farmlands. Yields are already falling off. And certain chemical fertilizers are not flowing because of wars/sanctions. Several people have said that there are less than a handful of years left before complete depletion.
You add these together, and just when we really need to rely on our farming for food, the land peters out.
Add an hail storms becoming larger and more common, we will see crop devastation like never before.
So, you really need a greenhouse, with hail shields.
Figure that you will be growing most of your own food soon. (and not just because the grocery store sells food shaped poison)
The new paradigm will be you, and your close friends, growing your own food.
The ideas of 9-5 jobs and grocery stores will come to an end.
At minimum get to know farmers in your area.
So, as you can see, hiding out for a couple year will not really help you survive.
Most of what we think of as survival today will become a way of life. And many people will be grateful for these change of life. Getting back to the land plus none of the hardships made by inflating currency and crushing debt. It is a great feeling knowing that your life is in your capable hands, and you are not beholden to anyone else.
This is a change in the ways of life. A change of goals.
Just like bitcoin is changing how money will work.
These things are not small, and you need to be involved in this change. You cannot hide in a hole, and then come out after 10 years. You need to a part of this.
In fact, people like Billy Gatez who run and hide in their bunkers will be hunted down and dug out. Enemies of humanity will not be allowed continued existence and freedom. (this is another thing that is coming)
There is no sure fire way to avoid what is coming. So, you need to prepare for all of these pieces. Have plans written out. Have cash saved. Have some precious metals buried. Have a fully stocked pantry. Get a generator. And really plan, and execute the plan, to leave the major cities.
Well I hope not but under water is the best protection but after talking about it with the wife, up on the house top...

Living underwater may seem safe, but that may just be because of the level of construction needed to keep the water out.
I believe we need to build much better living containers.

Well, it has to do with the ability of the water to block radioactive elements which are photons, electrons, quarks, and who no's what. Four feet of water or more is equal to lead encasement, much concrete, and a lot of dirt and rocks, plus...gave you ever seen the movie, "A Boy and His Dog?".
Anyways I have camped in a place where where atomic bombs were tested with all of my camouflaged friends and equipment and it royally sucks the big bajonga. That was life 50 years after the fact.
