In any community it is necessary to explain some basic but important points that members must take into account. It should be noted that this publication is especially aimed at users who have little experience in Steemit and this information will help them develop as a blogger in any community.

Quality content

Well you've probably heard this several times on Steemit, and one of the slogans of this platform is "Create quality content and be rewarded".

Quality content is made up of several points:

Effort: In each publication always try to improve. If one day you made a "normal" post, the next will be "good", then the next "excellent", the next "extraordinary" and so on. Add details that add value to the content, such as quotes, prices, images, statistics, etc.

Originality: Of course this is a very important point, your content must be your own or your own. The more original the better and this is what we mean by images. Here we can also mention the exclusivity of Steem which means that your content should not be published anywhere else.

Writing: Although many use Google Translate, this does not mean that you should comment on spelling errors and that no one will notice. If you publish in Spanish, always take care of accents and punctuation marks as this can change the meaning of an entire sentence.

If you publish in English using translator try to write without local words, and write exactly what you want to say without beating around the bush, this way the translator will do his job well and you will make less mistakes.

Perseverance: While you can create very high-quality content and not be rewarded, there is such a thing as perseverance. We must stay encouraged and be constant publishing what we like the most. Soon you will receive that great reward.

Text Formats

A good article must contain text formats so that the reader does not get lost in reading. A content without bold, without titles, or without emphasis does not provide interest to read it. That is why it is important to use HTML and/or Markdown codes to format our text.

We also have to be aware of the use of these codes, since they can also be abused. Here is a list of mistakes you should not make:

• Capitals: Writing an entire title or paragraph in capital letters does not look good for a blogger's article. It's like you're yelling at the reader.
• Text size: Use the codes in the correct place. For example, do not put the # code to a paragraph or to a very long text since that code is only used in titles or subtitles.
• Codes in the title: Although not all codes are accepted in the titles of publications, some are recognized by the system. Avoid putting HTML codes in titles and let the system set the default size.
• Centered text: The entire centered article makes reading difficult. Try to only use centered text where it counts.

Images

Images are very important in your posts. It is recommended that your article contains at least 3 images so that the reader is more interested in your content.

What resolutions should we use for our images?

The first image must have an aspect ratio of 16:9 so that the thumbnail of our post is fully visible in the Steemit feed. In the same way the other photos should also have a similar appearance.

These are the recommended resolutions that have a 16:9 aspect ratio:

• 2560x1440.
• 1920x1080.
• 1280x720.

You can edit your images or design the cover in any online editing software such as:

• Canvas
• Visme
• Crello

Not own images

Another very important point is that if you use images that are not your own you must include the reference link. You can place it under each image or at the end of your article.

Remember that the reference source of the image is the URL link where the image is hosted, if you provide a link that leads to the Google search engine or directly opens the image, it is the wrong source.

Tags

Use tag according to content. The first 4 tags are the most important so if you participate in contests you should use the contest tag first.
