Movie Review: The Unholy "Becareful Who You Pray To"
I have seen many films from horror to comedy and others but one of the things that has always fascinated me in the film is its plot or what we understand as the story. The title of the film can be very interesting but if I go through the story and realize that it is empty I will lose interest in watching it.
For me, horror movies are the best when it comes to dating and I have to put it here that I often find my inspiration to write about horror movies. In case you do not know, as a writer you should try as hard as you can to integrate your brain by reading, watching movies and even playing games. In this way, you will be helping your mind to do more in deep thinking and exploring situations.
So let me ask you when did you last watch a good movie? You do not need to answer a question but I would urge you to take a break and watch one or two films. If you need my movie recommendation, I would recommend you to watch this movie called The Unholy. Although it is a horror film, it contains many lessons for our faith in whatever we believe.

Before I go straight to this review, I should try to warn you about how scary the movie is because I remember having a series of goosebumps all over my body while watching a movie. I have to admit that I watched it very late at night so I think that this influenced the way my body reacted to the attack on the film.
TEST: This is not in any way a way to criticize the distribution of the Holy Rosary and the teachings of the Catholic Church and I believe that the filmmaker would have said nothing harmful.
I’ve seen a lot of horror movies like I mentioned above, but there’s one thing I paid attention to this movie called The Unholy. A film can be called an eye-opener for spiritual things. So I would try my best to look at it again with a spiritual eye. The film was produced in 2021 so, I have the courage to say that not many people have watched it. The director Evan Spiliotopoulos has backed up the story of the movie in a book entitled Shrine by James Herbert.
The Graphics
I remember back in the days when I looked at the living Dead One of the things that made it so awesome was the use of appropriate images to show all the horrors in the movie. The producer of The movie worked well on the graphics. One of the things that makes a movie horrible is the low expectation of horror scenes.
What I mean by that is, if you watch a horror movie and you can predict when the horror scene will be shown, you will no longer feel the effects of those scenes and that will take away the feelings you should have about the film. The producer makes sure that when you watch the movie for the first time, you will never know or be able to predict when an awesome scene will explode in your face. I should also commend her for wearing the outfit of the organization she uses to represent the demon that emerged as the Virgin Mary.
Structure
The film was set in Banfield, Massachusetts and began with a scene in which a woman was killed in 1845. Later things happened that I realized that the woman who had been killed in the square was Mary, who kept coming, a girl known as Alice Prior to the whole incident, Alice was known to be unwell but sometime after she started hearing, she said it was Miss (As she said to her) who treated her. The story went very well because I could see the producer trying hard to make sure it didn't come out of the competition. This is because someone who has never watched a movie or removed all bias before watching a movie will eventually lose the message in it. It may interest you to know that this movie has received a lot of criticism but I would like you to watch the film without bias in your mind.
I decided not to go into too much detail about the plot because anyone who wishes to read about it can find it online, but I will focus more on what I learned in the film because it is the main reason why I decided to review the movie.
Be careful who you pray to
From the beginning of the world, there were demons living even among us as humans. We cannot deny this obvious fact because everything we do in the flesh is spiritually controlled.
Do not try to understand this statement but try to focus on the issue at hand. When we go to our houses of worship or to the holy places, we pour out our hearts and our presence in both supplication and payment for what we believe. The hard question we have failed to ask ourselves is: why do we pray to? This is a question that could have saved the small town of Banfield from the stress that it had to deal with because they wholeheartedly believed in everything they did not understand.
In this note I will conclude this review because I believe I have said enough for anyone who wishes to listen. To me, this movie should be a must-watch for anyone regardless of your religion or beliefs. I recommend you watch The Unholy today. I love you.
