Record-Breaking Journey-17,200 km from Beijing to Havana in 24 Hours
I completed a record-breaking flight in my life! From Beijing, China, with a stopover in Madrid, Spain, to Havana, Cuba, covering 17,200 kilometers across Asia, Europe, and North America, in 23 hours and 50 minutes. After flying for about 24 hours, I was still in January 1, 2025, when we landed in Havana. The entire plane erupted in applause for the Air China captain. During the flight, I had four in-flight meals and watched three movies: The Claw Machine, Journey Through the Moon, and Silence. When we flew over Madrid, Spain, I witnessed something incredible—a circular rainbow surrounding the shadow of the plane, gliding through the clouds. The new year started with amazing luck. On both legs of the trip, I had three seats to myself, allowing me to lie down for the journey. On the Madrid-to-Cuba flight, only two passengers had this privilege, and I was one of them. Interestingly, I had chosen window seat 58A, but it turned out to be the only seat without a window. And so begins my journey to Cuba. We have a 13-hour time difference—my night is your day!
